Absolutely disgusted with the service we just got here. At first they did not serve us for around 20 minutes whilst serving other guests that arrived after us. Once we'd asked, they begrudgingly took our order. There were 6 of us and 5 people placed an order of drinks so they told us that the person not ordering had to... More

The atmosphere in the café was chaotic. The waiter took our food and drinks order, only to return with the drinks which were spilt all over our table and myself. Not to mention the drink was in a glass bottle which caught the edge of the phone screen and resulted in it smashing. The phone is never usually on the... More

Tip: The vegetarian potato soup is fantastic. When I attended, there was a pianist and violinist playing jazzy tunes.

We visited the cafe with my family . As The place was crowded , we asked a waiter if there's a table available. He seemed very unhappy that i adressed to his majesty and he answered in a very rude way that another gentleman was waiting (okay with that) and that we should stay out of his way and wait... More

We had half an hour to spare waiting for the Big Bus blue route so called in here for coffee and cake. Good service, reasonable price and wonderful atmosphere.

Oldest cafe on the ring, living on borrowed time. Charged €5.2 for 2 pieces of bread, €3.9 for tap water, 15% mandatory gratuity, very average food, sarcastic service, one of the worst restaurants anywhere

Relaxed atmosphere in this traditional coffee house with wood panelling and newspapers. The waiters dressed in dark suits and bow ties were very efficient. We ordered our kaffee and torte in German, which probably helped! We'd only stayed in Vienna for three days, but of the coffee which we'd been served, this cafe served De best kaffee!

The waiting staff here clearly think the guests are an inconvenience. Not a nice welcome, poor service, mediocre food, expensive prices, rude arrogant waiters, stuffy atmosphere and no thank you or goodbye! Probably the worst restaurant I have ever experienced. It's an embarrassment to Vienna

I stumbled across this place by mistake as all the other places were closed. Looked at the menu on the outside and decided to risk it. It was great. The atmosphere feels like you really have gone back in time. The deco is very old and so nice. I decided to have dinner and had the lovely pork. It was... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
