quick place to grab lunch in between museums. Serves burgers and quick meals that gets you on the go quick without the hassle. Even great for coffee stops but can be packed during lunch hour.

Found this place by accident and popped in for a drink, ending up eating as well hot chocolate with rum was excellent and just what you need to warm up on a winters day. You are able to smoke in this cafe, which for us brits is a bit odd. However, great place and worth a visit.

This small café diner is situated in the Museum district. We went for a quick and small lunch in between visits of several museums. It's a small but cosy place which serves very good and fresh food. We ate a croque monsieur with home made ketchup as we were not that hungry. Only negative thing for us was that you... More

I arrived at the Museum Quartier ready To tackle the different museums but hadn't had breakfast or lunch yet. MQ Daily looked comfortable and smelled good.... So I figured it would be a good venue to fortify myself for the museum adventure. The waitress brought out an English menu and I ordered the ham and cheese omelet. What arrived did... More

Burgers were very good, food overall good quality. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Cash only. Salads also good, but not over the top. Menu has a good variety, very straight forward and simple. A relaxing place to go between museums.

My daughter is visiting Vienna presenting at a conference at the University, so yesterday we decided to lunch here with another visiting academic. The lunch was okay - I ordered the chicken salad which was overladen with dressing - I couldn't eat the last bit because the leaves were drowning in dressing. We all commented that the waiter was pretty... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
