We stopped in here for a drink and they have excellent beer. Also the bartender was informative and very pleasant. He was from Nova Scotia, living in Vienna for many years. We really enjoyed our time in this pub.

Hidden down a side street....the place was heaving when we arrived and, for this reason only, we decided against ordering any food. However, saying that, the plates that they were bringing out to other tables, certainly looked most appealing. Really enjoyed my short visit here and would recommend! Great beer and cider on tap and friendly staff...happy days.

Didn't have a reservation and they were packed for a soccer tourney in town, but we were seated at the bar. I tried the sampler (not sure exact wording, but it included a small steak, kangaroo and crocodile meat... as well as fried grasshoppers). I didn't want the grasshopper, but the bartender talked me into it and we both ate... More

Quick drink before dinner. Went downstairs and enjoyed the no smoking area. Lots of friendly chat from the staff and the food looked very good. Lots of TV's which was good to watch the football on.

First of all, I like Australians and I like Australian bars. We were in town for the Austria v Ireland game and wanted to avoid Irish bars as we knew they'd be packed. We had our lunch and a pre-match few pints here before the game and everything was fine. Typical pub grub that does the job.Things took a turn... More

If you're interested in trying something new, like kangaroo burger, fried grasshoppers, you should definitely check out Crossfield's. They also have beef burgers, steaks, etc. if you'd like to stick to the classics. All in all the food is really good. Also the beer selection is quite nice, there's different Australian beers, some craft beers, etc.

Crossfield's has a great selection of beers with glasses kept in the freezer, nice touch! They have blonde and dark beers and a fine menu of all different burgers. The top price burger was €15 with all the trimming, after eating it I could just about walk out of the place it was that filling. Must say the service was... More

Vienna is different!

With an Australian culinary outpost located in the heart of the city. Go down into the world of down under - we serve exotic titbits such as tender ostrich and kangaroo steaks or fried grasshoppers in the middle of an Australian opal mine. Here you can also have the juiciest burgers and beefsteaks. Along with the meals, we also serve a superior selection of Australian wines and great Aussie beers including Fosters, Ayers Rock Red, VB, James Boags, Coopers to name but a few.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
