We happened upon this place by accident on our arrival to Vienna and we are really pleased we did. Authentic Chinese food with a mix selection of both dim sum, Sichuan and more western dishes. Don't expect a Michelin star restaurant but the food is tasty and excellent value. We ordered a mixture of dishes including dim sum, noddles and... More

Aming was a rather informal place, not a very posh "proper dining" place, in fact, the front of the restaurant even had lots of stacks of takeaway boxes there. Pardon me for saying that it's a bit tacky, it's a relaxed easy-going place. My favourite dish was the beancurd (tofu) with egg of a thousand years (or black egg). I... More

Had a dish I usually ordered elsewhere. But the way it is cooked here is just deep fried and very oily.

The restaurant didn't seem very clean. People standing around by the entrance and smoking, stained furniture and flooring, the outside sitting area full of dust. Service tired and perfunctory at midday on Saturday. We had dim sums and some entree dishes. Nothing was wrong with them, but far from fresh or tasty.. All kind of stale, barely put together to... doesn't look very inviting from the outside but the Dim Sums are fantastic and you get so many choices - also if you are keen you can eat jellyfish salad and pigs ears

The meal, atmosphere and service are alright. Nothing spectacular, but I can't really find much to complain about either. I had some dim sum and their lunch menu, good value. The waitress got my order wrong once, wanted it to-go but she brought it to the table.

This a cozy restaurant that serves up all manner of authentic Chinese food, the first three pages of the menu are dim sum then there is a long list of main courses. The menu has photos of many of the dishes so you will know what to expect. Its a cozy place with about a dozen tables. The food is... More

We were six people having lunch here. We lived 3 years in China so our expectations on chinese food are high. The dim-sum was huge dissapointment. We tried 2 fried types and 4 steamed. The best i liked was pork and shrimp and then shrimp and chives. One type we had was just loaded with msg. We had also plate... More

Rude service, food that appeared to just be frozen dim sums that were de thawed. The overwhelming use of msg left my mouth numb halfway through the meal and I still have a strange tingle on my tongue 10 hours later. The food was bad to top it all off. Do not visit

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
