Had a variety of dishes and all of them were distinctive and exquisite. Very good service! Tried duck, chicken stir fry, green curry and fish - all amazing. The curry was heavenly!!! Starters also great - especially the scallops.

Had dinner with freinds, prices looked a bit expensive but the taste was worth it. The resturant has good service and we loved all the dishes. I took the green curry and it was better than a few dishes like that i had in thailand three months ago. Althogh it was four time the price :-). We also had sea... More

We happened to come across Patara and decided to try it out as we much liked the looks and ambiance of the restaurant. Modern style, not necessarily typical Thai. We had a range of dishes: phad pak ruam (garden vegetable in oyster (mushroom) sauce, kao klong phad pak (organic rice with vegetables), porpia tod (crispy vegetable spring roles), a spicy... More

We read reviews on Patara and decided to try it last night. Since it was a Sunday many places were closed but Patara was open and quite busy. We booked online from their website and received confirmation soon after. The service was great and the food was excellent and authentic. The servers were very knowledgeable about the dishes and answered... More

We were recommended to Patara by the concierge here at the Sacher. The food was absolutely faultless. Beautifully presented and superb service. We had not made a booking and although the restaurant was full they managed to fit us in. Having eaten in Thai restaurants all over the world this was in our opinion the best. Don't miss this place... More

Being in love with Asian food, I thought that this restaurant would be great despite the price... in the end a bit disappointed... not worth the money if I can say that.... The personal was polite great and Dedicated but it wasn't enough to make it up to the quality of my diner ... Sorry guys...

situated in the very heart of the city, the restaurant offers 2 floors of seating. We had a table with a noce view on the church upstairs. Very friendly staff. Teh food is good (we had the discover Thailand menu) and comes close to the original flavors. Not cheap.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
