The concierge at our hotel recommended Italic Restaurant for dinner. Near the State Opera House. The restaurant was modern and nice. We all enjoyed our food it was good. I had the lasagna and was happy.

When we asked our concierge where we should eat on our first night in Vienna, he suggested a couple of places. "The Italic is OK if you want something close to the hotel", he said. Given that it's in a non-stop busy tourist shopping area they get a steady stream of customers. Nothing we ate stood out although it wasn't... More

We found this restaurant looking for a place to eat without reservation during San Silvester night... We payed 130 euros and we went hungry as we were! The dessert seems to be cream with cacao powder... ...keep away and save money

The restaurant is perfectly located and nicely decorated. The pasta menu is limited and the food was average. We had the penne Arabiatta and the tagliatelle noir. Our concern once again in this city is the manners from the staff. They were fast to take our order and the food came promptly and quickly. However, during the course of our... More

After a superb Mozart Concert in a church a short distance away, I called into this place on the off chance and although very busy, a table was found and the waiter introduced himself, leaving me with the menu. I wouldn't call it an extensive menu but it had some interesting dishes with a modern twist and the prices seemed... More

We visited on our first night in Vienna after a long tiring day. The staff were fruendly and attentive. The food was brilliant, freshly made pizza served in under 15minutes. Be warned if you say yes to the bread offered you will be charged for it, it isn't free, we found that out when the bill arrived

If you like these modern bare Italian restaurants, this will suit you. I prefer the old barber shop style and staff.

Lovely food very well presented and very tasty. Service wasn't great, not asked how the meal was, not greeted with and smile and our food when brought over was slammed down on the table, no thank you... A little awkward and atmosphere was quite stale.

We had the pizza prosciutto and the pizza spinac. Both were good. Waiters were friendly but it was difficult to get their attention. Location is good. Middle of the centre. The bread you get at the beginning is€2,1 a person. Don't like surprises.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
