Fantastic service and hospitality! The desserts are out of this world, created with such finesse and elegance. The live music on the piano takes you into another era while feasting on Princess Sisi's delight. The Sachertorte and Kaiserschmarrn are to die for! Definitely worth the...More

Cafe Central deserves its place in the history of Vienna. The building is truly beautiful and this makes dining here quite special. I only had tea and their apfel strudel but it was excellent. However, there is the sense of being on a conveyer belt!...More

We found this place thanks to Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The interior looks and feels like something from the late 18th century. It was well-lit, very clean and not all that noisy despite a piano playing and a full set of tables, all...More

There are some 100's of places to get the Vienna Cafe Experience, but Cafe Central is the best of them all. The building, the cakes, the service - you get it all in one stop. It's even worth the wait, and that's saying something!

This is an iconic cafe and centre piece of the Viennese Cafe Culture. It is quite formal due to it being housed in a historic building and interior decoration but it had charm and because of the 'touristy' nature (and long queues to get in)...More

We weren’t up to thestrudel on this visit, much less the array of sculptural pastries, but we had a couple of pleasant t, lingering, uncrowded breakfasts between meetings, and museum visits. Lots of room c 9:00 AM, becoming crowded later. A dandy space to sit,...More

While the apple strudel was very good, this is not a particularly special place or atmosphere. You will not be unhappy here, but it should not be your one and only coffee house visit.

This famous traditional café with its 130 year history was first opened in 1876 and at the turn of the 20th century it was a popular meeting point for leading lights in the world of art, literature, politics and science such as Arthur Schnitzler, Sigmund Freud, Peter Altenberg and Leo Trotzki. Then, like today, the legendary literature café was a meeting point for all ages, regular guests, Viennese locals and visitors. Unique architecture combined with the best coffee specialities, classic Viennese cuisine and finest home-made pastries make every visit a special experience. Daily Live Piano Music from 5pm on! Reservations are strongly recommended to avoid waiting time - upon availability. Many thanks in advance for your understanding!
