We hit lucky with no queuing outside to get in. Waited 5 mins and then seated. We had a lovely coffee and cakes and left just as the piano player was about to strike up. Service first rate and efficient as is everywhere in Vienna....More

This was an excellent place. We arrived just after opening time and still stood in the line outside waiting to be seated for good 20minutes. Had breakfast and it was great, though! Scrambled eggs with lemon toast and salmon, yummie! And of course a taste...More

We stumbled across this establishment and were immediately in awe of the ambience. The coffee and pastries are meltingly good and is worthy of a visit or three to experience Viennese patisserie at its best.

The place is famous with its chocolate cake Zaher. And It's delicious! This cake defiantly necessary to taste. It was the best and the most expensive chocolate cake that I have ever tasted!

Despite the long queues and the average service, café central is an iconic cafe worth visiting. The building and interior decoration is amazing and the cakes tasty. It is also pricey.

The cafe has an impressive and grand interior, which reminded me more of a theatre entrance/lobby than an eatery, especially with live piano being played. There was a queue but didn't have to wait long to be seated, the wait staff were kind to change...More

This famous traditional café with its 130 year history was first opened in 1876 and at the turn of the 20th century it was a popular meeting point for leading lights in the world of art, literature, politics and science such as Arthur Schnitzler, Sigmund Freud, Peter Altenberg and Leo Trotzki. Then, like today, the legendary literature café was a meeting point for all ages, regular guests, Viennese locals and visitors. Unique architecture combined with the best coffee specialities, classic Viennese cuisine and finest home-made pastries make every visit a special experience. Daily Live Piano Music from 5pm on! Reservations are strongly recommended to avoid waiting time - upon availability. Many thanks in advance for your understanding!
