We had four nights in Vienna and ate at Mini on two of them. It's really divine. The menu is compact (always the best kind) with a mouthwatering range. I'm pescatarian and by necessity wheat-free, and the staff were brilliantly accommodating with no drama whatsoever. Wine knowledge was second to none and we entrusted ourselves to a recommendation. I was... More

Highly recommend. I received better service and attention here than most restaurants I've ever been to. To add to that the food was absolutely delicious. We were seated downstairs because the ups stairs was full and I was concerned that we were going to be forgotten and it was far from that. The restaurant owner spent 15 minutes going over... More

With a great memory of wonderful Hungarian food, I booked dinner at Mini. This was a true gourmet experience. Beginning with an Unicum aperitif (try the plum -out of this world) we were guided through the meal perfectly by the friendly and knowledgeable waiter. I had fois-gras Hungarian style with fig. The goat cheese salad with pear and walnut was... More

I had here one of the best dinners in Vienna, quite great. They have limited choices with Hungarian influences. The food is rightly cooked, I really liked the duck breast - still, the risotto was too boiled (not really risotto). The beef cheeks were also nice. Great variety of Hungarian wines and great service.

I've actually only signed up for Tripadvisor to write a review about this restaurant. It could be summed up in one word, amazing. We discovered it almost by accident by reading previous reviews so decided to make a booking and try it. The staff were friendly, and clearly exceptionally knowledgeable about the food and wines that are on offer. Every... More

This was one of my top 5 restaurant dinners of all time. Each dish that we had tried was spectacular. The service was impeccable - warm and friendly, with great recommendations and a fun conversation. The atmosphere is pleasant and chill, not stuffy at all. I would recommend this to everyone visiting Vienna.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
