We were looking forward to our dinner at Opus. We were guests in the hotel and the intimacy of the restaurant was very promising. However, as good as the food was, the service was abysmal. We are patient diners -- but, time between courses was...More

As my hotel review, we stayed in the Imperial Hotel and this Restaurant is attached. The wine recommended by the sommelier was divine and so reasonable considering the establishment/Michelin status i believe (not sure) A Viennese Merlot. Our food was equally very unique both in...More

What a wonderful evening at Opus Restaurant. We had a 5 course tasting menu which was such an interesting range of unusual & beautifully presented dishes interspersed with a variety of amuse bouche. We had the wine pairing, which introduced us to such a delicious...More

Although our meal at Opus was excellent, the restaurant’s bright lighting and uninteresting décor served as constant reminders that we were eating in a hotel dining room.

Just finished our dinners at Opus, and we concluded that was one of the best dinners of our lives. And we're old! And we're foodies!! Magnificently creative presentations and combinations of tastes. Paired with the best of Austrian wines. And perfect service. Served in a...More

The Imperial's Opus restaurant simply doesn't cut it - fairly ordinary food and merely adequate service and no atmosphere. Both restaurants in the hotel are simply a typical add on to the main hotel business, an "also ran" which one sees so often.

We were welcomed by the very friendly, efficient and helpful maitre'd who guided us through the menu options. We were given, as I had requested, a secluded and spacious table, although all tables were well positioned with plenty space round. We went for the menu...More
