Delicious bite-sized treats, lots of options. It's a very small place but folks move in and out quickly, as does the line. Lots of locals. Worth a visit, to try out the food and beer.

Saw this place on Rick Stein programme and loved the local feel, always like to do the locals thing and this ticks all the boxes. The sandwiches are lovely, great flavours, all washed down with a small beer. Excellent , loved it

A tiny little place serving appropriately tiny mini-food and micro-drinks, the atmosphere is one of constant movement as noone stays long (why would you need to?). We grabbed a fairly random selection of items and huddled around a standing table to sample them all - found everything very fresh and tasty, and very much enjoyed the experience, one not to... "traditional" doesn't come better than that: plaque on the wall states "...founded in 1902, feels like the menu has not changed at all, optically the hors d'oevres look like something out of a period movie. subtle flavours all based on an egg mayonaise, so if you're not into egg then it's not your thing. felt wonderful to be snuggled between... A friend recommended this place and after we looked it up, my husband was a little skeptical (lots of ingredients that don't top his list of favorites like herring, liver, mushrooms, peas). But with all the great reviews and the convenient location, we decided to try it out and are so glad we did! The format of the restaurant is... More

Had noticed the name on TripAdvisor earlier and so we entered the place when we passed it by coincidence. The counter displays a broad range of different spreads on bread, each small square is 1,30€. Loved the variety and spontaneously ordered four different kinds to just try them. Really nice. Not a full dinner certainly but can be a light... More

It is a bistro, where they serve all kinds of pate. It is certainly interesting and makes you think of how people used to have a snack a hundred years ago. The small sandwiches are 1.30 each. Many tastes to choose from.

We intentionally went to Trzesniewski for lunch as my husband knew of it and really wanted to visit. It was quite fascinating to enter the small space and see the extraordinary array of tempting open faced sandwiches. Most creative and beautifully presented too. There was so much to choose from The staff are pretty lackadaisical, I guess they are blasé... More

They offers more than 20 kinds of open sandwiches, 1.30 euros each. I tried 8 kinds of them, and they were all great. It might be better if they are toasted, but instead you can grab pack and go within two minutes. Must visit before picnic.

This is a small food place on Graben street that sells bread with different kind of pates on them. If you go early, the selection will be bigger, and the prices are very reasonable. We tried 7 different things and it came up to about 8EUR, and they are all delish! Try the spicy sandwiches, they are really good. The... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
