We had on a Saturday lunch there as a family and were really impressed and left this restaurant very satisfied and hope that also our next visit will be at the same level. The service was excellent, all dishes, we had Antipasti (Vitello, Calamari e Gamberi fritti) as well as main course (Salmone, Linguine con gamberi, Amatriciana, Capesante) and Dolce... More

Came with friends for dinner. The place was half empty on Thursday night. I was surprised by the very small menu. We had real difficulty to choose. At the end I had the Vitello tonato which was very nice presented and tasted good too. And for main we had as always fish baked in salt with veggies. Safe bet as... More

Martinelli is abit hard to find as its placed in one of viennas beautiful palais but ABSOLUTLEY worth a visit. The owner is from napoli and really tries to give the customers the best service possible. You come in and feel like youre in italy. The food was great. We let the owner take over our choice of food and... More

This summer we've had a lovely lunch outside at Martinelli. So now we've treated ourselves for a lovely dinner (inside ;-)). But alas, the overall experience was not good. We ordered the 4 courses menu. OK, the starter was delicious. We had to ask for some bread. The fish was OK. But the dessert was very mediocre. The wine we've... More

nobody deserve an experience in a restaurant like this, we spent the end of the year evening with my family at Martinelli restaurant cause was the only with availability (and now I know why) and we had a really really bad experience; the worst place we've ever been in our life. Its a real tourist trap and I don't know... More

We dropped in since we had a great meal 2 years ago. We were not dissapointed. We ordered the salt baked sea bass. It was prepared expertly. The service was unobtrusive, the food high quality. Had the minestrone soup to start. We skipped dessert so cannot comment. Worth the trip.

We were in love with this place for more than 10 years. Like just to proof their Falstaff badge, I use to order pasta for the 2nd time - use to eat until it was next to impossible to stand up. So good it was. It was special in everything: food, wine, service and "atmosphere ". Tonight it was like... More

I went here after seeing their Instagram and the yummy-looking food they always posted. I had no expectations about the taste, but was positively surprised when my meal actually tasted great! I had some kind of raviolis and my boyfriend had normal pasta. Both delicious, and they even brought us a little amuse-bouche! What really impressed me was the dessert.... More

Visited for lunch and all 4 of us enjoyed our food. The baked sea bass and octopus hamburger particularly good. Nice wine (Soave DOCG) reasonably priced. Lovely friendly service, very attentive. Homemade bread/focaccia and amouse bouche were really nice touches. Would definitely recommend!

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
