The most delicious cake ever, we had a lovely coffee too. The location is great and we had to queue for a bit but it went very quickly. We will definitely go back everytime we go to Vienna.

My wife and I shared applestrudel and the famous tarte with a couple of good beers. A really lovely place to visit. Immaculate toilets too.

I went to the cafe few times during my visit for breakfast and tea and coffee. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. Good selection of food and very fast and efficient service. I can't wait to go back again!

This place is pricy, busy, full of tourists but still, one have to visit it at least once while being in Vienna. The Sacher cake is excellent, coffee good and the white wine tasty. They offer free wi-fi, international newspaper, that is all that I need.

We visited this very famous Cafe and were surprised that the prices did not break the bank. A pleasure to the senses; especially taste!

You can't visit Vienna and not go to the famous Sacher café. The coffee was excellent and the cake delicious. The waiter were friendly. We liked it there and will return next time, when we go to Vienna.

Description
Cafe Sacher Vienna offers the perfect chance to sample a typical Viennese coffee-house atmosphere and - of course - to treat yourself to a slice of the legendary Original Sacher-Torte. The Cafe Sacher, directly opposite the Opera House, is a popular meeting place in the center of Vienna. The windows of the conservatory fold away in the summer to make an open terrace that is the perfect place to soak up the sights and sounds of the city.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
