I would highly recommend visiting Cafe Sacher whilst in Vienna. It's a piece of history and a truly unique experience. The staff are magnificent as you would expect, the interior is super decadent and it all makes for a totally divine time.

Very quick visit for a piece of the famous cake and a coffee. Staff were so kind and helpful, particularly since I had messed up my reservation and arrived 24 hours early. Staff dealt with it in a friendly and positive way, and could not...have been better. Even though it was a short visit, really enjoyed it, and I’ll definitely be back.More

The waitresses were very pleasant, and the place was classic! This place seems busy all the time. The original Sacher torte was nice, but not amazing enough for me to return. I felt that it was more moist and chocolaty plus stronger marmalade than Demel....I am sure some people preferred this over the other though. It's a little pricey, but I still believe it's nice to go once. They have decaf and nice bathrooms. They also have some savories.More

The sacher torte is such a disappointment. I really don’t understand the hype at all. First off, we were standing in line for 20 mins before we gave up and decided to go for takeaway. The torte is VERY DRY, has a brick-hard solid consistency...and the flavor isn’t there at all… Probably the most disappointing thing we ate in Vienna and definitely not worth the €8 a slice. We ended up throwing half in the trash. Do not recommend!More

I wouldn't know if it was the best, becuase having tried the sacher torte here I wasn't encouraged to try another one. Dry and fairly tasteless (that can't be how it should taste?). On top of this you have to pay a premium for the...tourist trap it is. 8euros for a slice of cake! The coffee is also expensive and we just felt it was a conveyor belt of tourists. very disappointingMore

We waited outside for a table for almost 30 min. When we got inside there were a lot of empty tables all cleared and ready for the next customers! The waitress we had was very unfriendly, when she served our order she threw the plates...and cups on the table. Because of this she spilled milk she didn’t clean up. And then we tried the famous sacher torte and we were both so disappointed! It was dry and not very tasty. The place is completely overpriced especially considering everything. The building is beautiful though.More

Long line , bad service. waiters are doing u a favor to answer and serve you. They hardly smile and don't even try to b nice... Just a name and nothing special about food and drinks either. A darjeeling tea is nothing more than water...and teabag of Althaus. Extremely overrated...there r nuch better choices to enjoy a nice atmosphere food and drinksMore
