A friendly little restaurant, which is very popular, even early in the week. The food was fresh, well cooked and tasty. Staff were attentive, but not intrusive. Very accommodating and welcoming.

Practically located at an exit from U1-Nestroyplatz, walk a few minutes and get a fresh meal, very polite and efficient service, floor-to-ceiling windows to look out and enjoy the view, complementing the good food.

Nice small restaurant. Very friendly owners. We got the lady and gentleman ship, which also included a fish soup as a starter and lychees as a dessert. It was all tasty and fresh. The ship turned a few heads, a lot of sushi and sashimi. Price was €50 for 2, our drinks included, which I think is very reasonable for... More

You can chose the lady's or the gentleman's ship or you take a big one to share, which we did: With 2 extra soups and a portion of Edamame it was enough for the four of us. Very nicely arranged and very tasty!

We chose to have dinner there cause of the positive reviews and a close location to the hotel where we were staying. The restaurant is OK but I would never call it the best Japanese restaurant. The Miso soup was very good. We also had Maki mix and it was average. The noodles with grilled duck were OK but again... More

We just had some quick snacks there (but we also went there 3 years ago, and nothing has changed). The gyoza, miso and fish salad are all just as you'd expect them. Well made and with good raw materials. It's a very small place.

I came here despite its location (2nd District which is a bit out of the way for me) because of previous reviews. I was not disappointed. Small and comfortable, it appeared to me in great demand for lunch because of surrounding offices. I ordered the fish/meat lunch which came complete with an excellent soup, sashimi, salad, hot clams with shrimp,... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
