A place for traditions norwegian food where you can get a good fish meal. Here is normal good service. This is more a cafeteria than a resturant, but it is good standard and a nice place to be. Our fish dish was really tasty and there was enough food.

Faced with few decent dining options in Finnsnes, we sure were happy to come across this wonderful restaurant across the bridge to Senja which serves locally inspired, made from scratch meals. The cod dinner features a perfectly fried, generous filet, served with classic grated carrots and boiled potatoes. Yum!

This place is great if you wanna try out northern Norway traditional cuisine. The food is tasty and portions are generous. Make sure that you taste the traditional "Boknafesk" or "Grilled tørrfesk" which are just fantastic fish dishes. :-) You find yourself a table, order and pay by the counter like in a cafe. The food is then brought to... More

Good, affordable local food. Including good fish, whales and other local specialties. A place for the locals but also recommended for tourists who want to try the local cuisine; at the "gate" of the most beautiful island in Norway.

En route from our Senja house to the Bardufoss Airport, we usually take first time visitors on a tour of the outer reaches of this exceptional island, and we have usually had a meal at Hamn. Not any more, after friends recommended Senjastua at Silsand, vis a vis the town of Finnsnes. A real treat with local specialities like boknafish,... More

Excellent place to taste the real Northern Norwegian kitchen. They serve a range of dishes here that is typical to the region and/or Norway. I have eaten a couple of times here now, and the service and food is excellent every single time. Try the Grilla tørrfesk or the Boknafesk. Both local dishes exactly the way the Norwegians eat it... Looking for something else than pizza, diner or burgers we found thuis place, about 40 mins out from Bardufoss. Apart from the scenic drive here, the restaurant fullfilled out wish for something different. Great local food, a good choice of drinks and a nice place to sit really made us happy. Definitely a place to remember and come back to.... More

This cozy restaurant serves traditional dishes made from local ingredients mainly, including fish, meat as well as herbs from the near-by gardens. Prices are as expected and the food standard is very high. Huge portions nicely compliment the taste. To be combined with a drive around the island of Senja!
