Cannot recommend enough. If you are in Oslo you should absolutely take the detour here.. Although not in town it's easy enough to get to via public transport or car- we took a bus from town which got us most of the way there and then walked up the hill which to be honest was part of the experience, we... Probably the best spot in Oslo for an amazing panoramic view over Oslo fjord. Cozy atmosphere and definately a picturesques venue. Popular among the locals and frequently visited during a sunny Saturday or Sunday.

When you make your reservation be sure to tell them you want to eat a meal otherwise all you can get is dessert. The service was friendly and good. The view is just amazing. The decor is rustic and welcoming. We had fish soup which was very tasty. Limited menu but very good.

There might be only a few other spots which can be better than Grefsenkollen Restaurant in terms of panoramic view over Oslo fjord. The sight from there is simpy dreamy ! Such a great reward after an awesome hike in Lillømarka (or a cross-country ski session) : sip your coffee in a really picturesque venue, where the waiters wear the... More

The 5 course menu is a great experience in trying different flavors from scallops with artichoke, walnut and capers-beurre blanc to beetroot soup with goat cheese, beets and dill. The Gooseberries with vanilla and ginger ice cream is also very tasty. The atmosphere tries to reproduce an old country house on the top of Grefsen hill. At night, the view... More

If you are looking for a "Belvedere" of Oslo, this is the right place. A little bit hard to reach the restaurant but worth it. Good restaurant, recommended in Michelin guide 2016. Also the place of a music festival in the summer.

This restaurant perched on the top of Grefsen offers stunning views over Oslo. The interior is rustic and comfortable and service great. We had a 3 course fixed menu. The starter was Hake with a ratatouille source. The fish was slightly on the cold side, but the flavoursome sides made up for it. The food for all courses was beautifully... More

My husband and I, along with two other couples, dined at the historical Grefsenfollen Restaurant on a Saturday evening. We chose the location because of its reputation of having a wonderful view of the city of Oslo and the Oslo Fjord. Indeed the view of the sunset and city was lovely, but the best part of the evening was the... More

Wonderful view, nice place. In summer it is rather different to how it is the rest of the year. More low key cheap stuf, order at the bar and only pizza. Still worth a trip though. (In winter it is a more high end restaurant.)
