Loved the place when we were here before. Now the food was mediocre at best and so was the service and the knowledge about the menu. Absolutely no passion and bland flavors. Too bad. We do like the restaurant itself and the ecological profile.

We had high expectations from this restaurant which was rated in some websites as one of the best in Oslo. Well, it is very far from that flattering title. The space is rather pretty with the 'old barn' look but somehow the atmosphere was quite cold and not very appealing (was half empty on a Saturday night). Also didn't like... More

Small and cosy restaurant at Frogner in Oslo. Good food made from a small kitchen, almost in front of you. Big portions (see Picture). Nicely presented. Our waiter was friendly and professional. When leaving the other three persons behind the kitchen could hav looked up to say good bye.

This was the favorite meal for my wife and I during our 3 days in Oslo. It was recommended by a barista at Tim Wendelboe, and did not disappoint. The food was terrific, and the atmosphere warm, charming, and welcoming on a cold night. I very much enjoyed the tasting menu, and my wife the vegetarian option (she's a carnivore,... More

We had Sunday lunch on a cold day. The restaurant was friendly and cosy. The service was friendly, but a little slow, possibly due to a crowded restaurant. We shared a nice cava and interesting fruit juice before having our meal. The soup of the day was warm and creamy, the chicken salad big, hot and tasty and the pulled... More

The organisers of a two day meeting in Oslo selected the Kolonihagen Frogner for a group dinner. It was a very good choice. There were around 12 of us, seated upstairs at a long table with candles, flower arrangements and a view through the windows to the little courtyard where the restaurant is located. There were both vegetarian and non-veggie... More

I had late lunch (from 3 o'clock) with 4 friends last Saturday. We booked our table in advance, and were seated upstairs. The interior was cosy: sand/brown colored furniture and the room had a nice view to the backyard. On arrival we asked the waitress to suggest a white wine, we got three alternatives, but she left before we could... More

This restaurant is absolutely stunning. It's beautiful setting, garden and decoration is quite something without me even getting to the food. The premise is great organic ingredients prepared with care and attention, and it delivers. Beautifully cooked fish and meat, immaculate presentation, great IPA from their on site brewery and lovely staff. 10 out of 10, must visit in Oslo.... More

We took the tram from our hotel and it was very conveniently located. Upon arrival one walks thru a pottery shop and outdoor garden to a very cozy looking restaurant. Candles lite, low lighting and small. We are met by hi Susan. My wife's name. Cool. We are seated immediately. Cool. Menus, and drinks offered. Cool. Not a fll5 bar... More
