Tried both Alex Sushi outlets - one at the Aker Brygge and the popular one near Solli. Personally i preferred the internal ambiance (a lot more character and buzz) and food at the popular Solli-located restaurant. Menu is almost similar but somehow the preparation and selection was more delectable at the latter outlet. If time is constraint, outlet in Aker... More

I love sushi and eat it regularly. In Alex Sushi I have had the best experiences with sushi and go here as often as possible. I have never been disappointed after a visit at Alex, wish I could go more often. Highly recommended.

I been to this restaurant a few times. The food is great, I recommend the red set menu. The staff is friendly, the other customers are dressed elegantly, and the decoration consist of entertaining artwork. Each piece of sushi is deliciously prepared, no need for soya sauce or wasabi. I recommend this restaurant for special occasions or business dinners.

This restaurant serves probably the best sushi in Oslo. Meny with much to choose from. Very refined. Very delicate. Fresh. Nice atmosphere. Very good service. Offers take away also. Good value for money.

Sushi is fantastic, prefer the classic soja sauce. Fusion with advocado is great, desert like. Andreas Englund wall art keeps intriging, all facial expressions.

Extremely overpriced for a very common sushi. You can get pretty much the same quality for half the price. No intention on going back.

I've been to Alex Sushi with my wife after hearing about it for so long. We took the 3 course menu which was actually a 4 course since it started with a miso soup. Here's what we found of each course: - Miso soup: It was OK, but I have to admit that both me and my wife are not... More

We were 12 friends who visited the restaurant and almost everyone decided to go for the "black menu" that includes the lobster. I am used to the Omakase menu in Alex sushi in Stavanger and where lookig forward for the lobster. A bit disappointed that the lobster was cold and not warm as expected. Otherwise the menu was great! And... More

Alex Sushi in Solli Plass square in Oslo is one of the city's finer sushi restaurants. The interior is modern and stylish with an open kitchen area where guests sit around an oval table, watching the mastery of the sushi chefs at work. The menu includes a fascinating number of ingredients, with some exotic highlights for the more adventurous. The service is relaxed, knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent wine list complements the food, with vintage varieties mainly from France and Italy.
