From the outside - the place looks like a traditional pub. But once you're there - it is not. You're being well received, taken to the table, offered a big menu, aperitiff and good advice on what to eat & drink. But even better is the food; absolutely great. Moreover, you dine in a great ambience - this is really... More

This place was full yesterday evening (Saturday 11.02.17) so perhaps this is a statement in its self. We had to wait for a table, even though I did think there was a few at the back that we could have used. We were invited to have a drink at the bar and two beers cost around £20.00. Had a meal... This is place has a menu that you would find at a Montana's or TJ Fridays anywhere in the world. The portions are large and the prices are in line with those in the rest of Stavanger. The decor is awesome in the theme of Jules Verne's "Around the World in 80 Days". The staff are great and speak great... More

Phileas Fogg has been around for a very long time in Stavanger and over the years i have visited them on many occasions. The restaurant is large and has a nice atmosphere but the biggest problem i have is the inconsistency with food quality. Sometimes it is fantastic and other times not worthy even being plated. If they can keep... More

Used to visit this place quite a bit a few years back, was at that point pretty great. But after my visit last week I have to say it is not worth going anymore. Me and my brother bought the same dish, fillet steak pasta and we are pretty sure half the meat was either old or liver. The taste... More

Group of 10 ate here one Wednesday evening, well decorated with lots of food and drink options. Food was enjoyable enough, took a while for mains to come out but it was rather busy that evening.

We were there for our first taste of christmas and ordered the pinekjot (salted lamb). When it arrived the turnip mash was cold and the meat was chewy. When informing the waiter he took it back to the kitchen where the cook said it was not cold and sent it back. This a first for us in all the resteraunts... More

This is a favorite of my son. We always get good service, the food is simple yet has a good touch to make the simple things interesting and tasty. Service is always good, the relaxed and fun atmosphere takes you away to an atmosphere far away from Stavanger. If anything is wrong is that we always have to wait for... More

The family was looking for a place to eat in Stavanger. We tried different places but 1 hrs of waiting was the standard answer. At Phileas Fogg we were placed in the bar for 5 min before showed to our table. We all took the spare ribs for girls they are big but if you are hungry you should go... More

This place has a nice ambience. Loved the interior design. They had a good range of seafood dishes which was nice. It is pricey but that is what you expect for a tourist area. Overall wasn't the best place we ate in Norway but was not the worst.
