If you are keen to dine in a resturant who's interior design has all the charm and charisma of a British motorway cafe circa 1968 then this is the venue for you. Plastic rubber plants, a faded sombrero or two and food served to the strains of Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass playing A Walk In The Black Forest... More

Had dinner in the restaurant before seeing a fantastic show. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced also the staff were very helpful and attentive. The only little criticism was that when I booked the table I did mention that my friend is dairy free and the lady on the phone said she'd make a note and get something organised... More

I am very easy to please, but it was bland. Bean burger that was literally tasteless. Eton mess with soggy meringue.

Went here to celebrate my mothers 65th birthday back in October 2016 and had a meal beforE the theatre Had a great 3 course meal from a set menu. Perfectly situated with a warm and relaxed atmosphere, they had themed the restaurant inline with the show that we were seeing, Sweeny Todd, all rather cleverly done. Superb staff, helpful and... This restaurant is on the ground floor next to the theatre and thus is most convenient for attending the theatre. Pre-theatre 'comfort menu' offered 3 choices for each course and at 13.95 for any 2 courses, was good value for money. The restaurant was very clean and staff were helpful and efficient despite working under time constraint to serve a... More

Ordered Chicken pie for starters and it was perfect so followed up with dark choc cheese cake and to be honest those of you that give bad reviews can only be classed as narrow minded individuals who expect top class food with a Michelin star venue.Atmosphere is perfect, decor is perfect, food is perfect what more could you ask for.

We had tickets booked for the panto, so as we were early we came for coffee and cake. We were thinking of eating here before, but the menu was very limited. So we opted for coffee and cake, except no cake. So coffee and tea it was. Ok , but service not amazing. As we only wanted drinks we had... More

A good location for the theatre, so should be really geared up for pre show meals. However although the timing is fine, i.e. meals are served efficiently, the actual menu choice is abysmal! We ate there last night and the main course choice was salmon and prawn fish cakes, beef lasagne, or macaroni cheese. Not inspiring, we both chose fish... More

The pork belly, which three of us chose as a starter, was quite superb, Sadly things went downhill rather rapidly thereafter. One companions' instant reaction to his steaming beef lasagne was (correctly): "This has been in the microwave for much too long!". Three companions chose this as a main course and none could finish their plate. The restaurant does, fortunately,... More

We had a Pre theatre meal before seeing Much Ado About Nothing at The Mercury Theatre. The restaurant was very convenient for the evening performance, the staff were attentive and the food was much better than we expected after reading some poor reviews. Unfortunately there wasn't much atmosphere-possibly because the evening pwrformance wasvery poorly attended. We both had salmon with... More
