Took my mother here as an early Christmas Treat and that is exactly what it turned out to be. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was impeccable but without being intrusive or wanting to rush through - it just worked really...well. As to the Food well what a treat!! I had Prawn Cocktail (yes small prawns and iceberg lettuce - just as it should be) which was excellent. I followed up with Sirloin of Beef that was superbly cooked. I generally favour a Rib, but this was exquisite and I may cook it at home. The vegetables were largely roasted and were superb in terms of taste, amount cooked alebit there was a lot! Dessert we all shared as we were full up and it was Profiteroles that were amazing. Only minor issue was that I thought the wine list a little short but not a massive issues. In short, if you are in the area then go here for Lunch!More

One person was Coeliac/gluten free, ordered a roast and was the best had at any restaurant. Included Yorkshire pudding, pig in blanket and stuffing, all very well cooked and tasty. The chef also made a gluten free cauliflower cheese. The kitchen is well equipped to...cater for those requiring gluten free with separate fryers and utensils. In addition, the service was excellent, very well staffed and all very friendly. Would highly recommend.More

We came here after another pub had sold out of their roasts and we’re so glad we did. Food was amazing. Generous portions (roasts) and they had a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options. All staff were so lovely and attentive. Really pleased we...came across this place.More

Great options, fabulous menus and amazing flavours. Great food, fabulous atmosphere and amazing service. A hiccup made good, very good. Thank you for the service and obvious dedication to the industry you are in. Not one thing on anybody's plate on any course was not...lovely, a party of 9, with all manor of differing requests quite a feet. Attention of staff and to detail was truly fab. Thank you so much for making the 3hour drive to see our Daughter/sister/aunt for her birthday all that more special.More

I kept getting told to come here but just never got round to it / you have to book in advance! Why I waited so long I don’t know. To call this place a pub probably does it a disservice! The food, the service, the...atmosphere, the setting were all 11/10. Service especially was on point! They ran like a well-oiled machine. The food was so reasonable and extra tasty. There was 4 of us, we all had beer/wine and 2 courses each and it came to £100 which I think is incredibly reasonable. Best meal out in a long time. Will be rushing back to ensure I leave enough room to try pudding next time!More

So kind of my friend to share her special place with me. Nearly every table was taken so it must be a special place for many! Would love to experience it in the sunshine too as lots of space outdoors and lovely views. The staff...were all so happy and so helpful - even on a Monday!More

Very welcoming atmospheric. Staff are lovely and very efficient. It’s top class restaurant quality food at pub prices. Our favourite place to eat ever.

Second time here and both times have been excellent. Even though they have been really busy, service is quick and friendly but you don’t feel hurried. Good and reasonably priced food and lots of it. We will go back whenever we are that way. Can’t...fault it.More

Myself and my friends all went for our monthly catch up, and I’m so happy that we’ve found this place, food is always on point, service is second to none. I went for the mixed grill and it was delicious. Although I was a little...bit disappointed that they have taken the wings off of the menu as myself and some of my party was looking forward to them all week having spoken about them daily in the group chat. 😂 But apart from that I’d still give this place a 10/10 👌🏼More

Under new management and the food was delicious. Sat outside with a large group of friends and the staff put 2 tables together. The place was full, the car park completely full, but the service wasn't at all slow. Food was really good, had Dover...sole and a brownie, both delicious. Others said there food was equally as good... would definitely go againMore
