Lovely little pub with great beer. Bar staff are very friendly and the decor is clean and fresh. Pubs quite small so if it's busy it's quite tight but that somehow adds to the atmosphere in there.

Family Sunday lunch, 8 adults & 2 children. Staff couldn't do enough for us, food was all ready at the same time, not staggered as in many places. It was all piping hot and absolutely delicious. Great selection of beers & lagers including real ales....More

Great pub on the periphery of the town centre. Nice staff and serves a good variety of real ales. Good menu and the food I had in two visits was fresh and tasty. Has the feel of a good pub in the middle of the...More

Comfortable, clean, quiet, furinshings impressed my wife. No food eaten, as we were visiting family and ate with them. But check your map as you have to approac from the West, unlless you like driving against the traffic in a one way street.

Booked a table on a Friday night and they were very busy!! Service was good despite our timing of ordering just after a very large table..... Good food-good atmosphere and a very decent choice of beers--whats not to like!!

This pub has a very pleasant atmosphere and retains the ambience of a local. The downside of this is that the ‘locals’ congregate around the bar close to the entrance and hamper one ordering a drink. Last year we visited this pub for a single...More
