Called in today for lunch. Only the two of us eating with a couple of locals having a drink. Very pleasant staff welcomed us, one of whom was being trained on his first day. Sadly, there was a mix up with the order but this can happen anywhere. The food is good, well-prepared and tasty and the portions moderate in... More

Four friends a child and a dog enjoyed great food and hospitality in charming rural inn where you could see from beginning to end service mattered, culminating in being given a lift home by the landlord because we couldn't get a taxi, a very rare gesture nowadays in my experience.

We went as part of a bigger family party with our two young daughters. Fantastic food, so good we had three courses! The portions were very generous and ingredients very fresh and locally sourced. The rhubarb crumble was delicious! We would highly recommend

I had chicken kiev which was lovely. my partner had Steak pie, chips and veg. He was overfaced however with the plate full of chips. Everything... More

Excellent food and a very friendly welcome. We had not visited for some time and were greeted like old friends. It is a beautiful day so we were able to eat in the garden.

We had two lovely meals here when staying at the nearby caravan site. Can recommend Seafood platter to share as a starter. Also enjoyed skirt of beef and halibut from specials board. Very welcoming and dog friendly in the bar.

The duck liver pate and homemade chutney is the most delicious starter I have ever tasted. Very hospitable owners and if I am in the area again I will make sure I stay here. Thank you!

Following a last minute decision to go out we rung ahead for a table for 6 including a high chair. Started in the bar for drinks before heading through to the seating area. Good food, choice and portions. Very nice and would go again
