Cannot say enough the food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough we had a person in our party that required gluten free food which proved to be no problem for this establishment staff here were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The atmosphere is warm welcoming not rushed perfect really

We have just come back from a lovely meal here. I had the salmon and my husband had the belly pork and neither dish could be faulted. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the pub was really cosy. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Visited on a Monday night off spec without booking was quite busy and soon filled up. Good selection of ales on draught with Taylor's the regular selection, along with a selection of guest beers. Food was excellent, obviously all local produce which tasted superb. Absolutely recommended, would ring and book if you fancy trip. Yorkshire food and beer at its... More

We were staying nearby in a self-catering cottage and asked the owner if she could recommend anywhere for Sunday lunch. She told us the food was good at Bryerstones and booked a table for us as it is busy. It was lucky for us that she did as the place was full. We had a delicious lunch with good choice... More

Four of went to this pub for dinner one evening and we all enjoyed the visit immensely, Myself and my wife enjoyed our vegetarian meals and our friends, who are meat eaters enjoyed their meal too. It is quite an up market food place for a pub, probably a little more expensive than most pub foods, but it is well... More

I never, ever have the Sunday roast beef when I go out to the pub for lunch. The beef is over cooked, cheap and everything just looks processed. Well I highly recommend the Sunday roast, especially the beef at Bryherstones. The beef, Yorkshire pud, vegetables and gravy were excellent. Washed down with a pint of Timothy Taylor's landlord it couldn't... More

Was recommended this pub by the B&B we were staying in. Arrived to really friendly service, it's definitely not a pub where the locals stare at strangers! Immediately made to feel welcome. Good menu and specials boards, we went straight for mains and weren't disappointed. An amazing steak cooked to perfection and some beautifully fresh fish. Great chips and salad.... More

I have been bringing my mother out to lunch here for a while and i thought its about time I gave it the praise it deserves. Although busy in summer, today's October Saturday lunchtime visit saw the Bryerstones in tranquil mood. We were met with a very warm reception from the barman and the landlord, who accommodated myself and elderly... More

Like most people who are away, we tend to look on trip advisor for an idea where to stay or eat. And thankfully we did as this pub is well worth the visit. First class food and super atmosphere and willing staff what more do you wish for but would advise booking as they can get very busy.

A warm welcome from the landlord set us up for a great visit. Service was fab, perhaps a little too quick! Sunday lunch was yummy. Can't wait to go again!
