Ate lunch here with 2 friends part way through a walk on a beautiful sunny day. Two of us had the sandwiches and one the Sunday lunch. Food was ok though some of the beef was a bit tough, however 4 dogs at a neighbouring table were delighted to be offered the scraps! It looks as if the menu hasn't... More

Decided to go here because they allow dogs and the walks nearby are beautiful. Lunch for adults for a roast beef or chicken was £10.95 and included a brownie and ice cream. So really good price. Kids roast was the same at 6.95, smaller portion obviously. Average it was in every sense of the word. The beef was overcooked, veg... More

Set in beautiful Bangor right next door to the Watermill Theatre, great ambience of an old country pub, good beer and great service, the Sunday Roast was excellent and plentiful, looking forward to going back again.

Rude barman. Got huffed and puffed at for paying by a card. Maybe only likes regulars! Never coming again!! Made us feel very unwelcome with flat coke

Thai cuisine in a quiet country pub, enjoyed the meal and have returned to also try the pub grunt too. I would love for the pub to have a bit of a makeover as visually it is a bit dated however don't let that put you off!

Arrived just before 2pm. Was told by irate manager I had EXACTLY 2 minutes to order or I wouldn't be served food. Pathetic customer service

Had the misfortune of stopping at this hovel on a charity marathon and quite frankly the sole barman was plannly rude and was upset atus disrupting his afternoon drinking with his mate. Interior looked old and dirty, didn't try the food daresay we wouldn't have got any! Service with a snarle, UTTER DISGRACE

My partner brought me here for a drink on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon on our way home. We ordered a pint of Coors Light and a pint of Doom Bar. Being told that there would be a charge to pay by card was a bit off putting in this day and age but we had no change so went... More

Went here with just under an hour to eat our dinner before going to the Watermill. The Thai menu was on offer as was the more traditional pub menu which is the option we chose due to time constraints. Between us we had scampi & chips and gammon & chips. Lovely friendly atmosphere in the pub, food was good -... More
