The pub is lovely great decor loos always clean, service very good. We have tried hard to fit eating in and finally we get a window and our choices are decimated , such a demoralising feeling oh well we were hungry and had to settle for something else after walking past a myriad of restaurants and eateries through the town... Five of us went to The Ship Inn for dinner last week. It was more of a bar than a restaurant and featured small round lounge tables instead of regular size dining tables. This was dissapointing considering the amount of food and drink we ordered and the rather high tab we rang up. The food quality was pretty good, large... More

Visited Folkestone Harbour Arm (28th December '16) with friends on a remarkably sunny day and needed a light lunch, so called into The Ship. The pub was pretty busy with many people eating. We were made very welcome and ordered our food, to be told that the food would be 30 to 40 minutes. No problem. In the event, the... More

Friendly staff and there was a good atmosphere in the bar with a good crowd and pub singer. Food was good on the whole but I was a little disappointed with the small size of my cod as this was one of the reasons for going. Bombardier beer also had a strange taste.

Great beer, lousy wine. Good free entertainment, although at those times it gets very crowded. Marked down slightly because the smoking area is open to the bar and the smoke comes in and makes things unpleasant at the back. Friendly staff with great decor.

My family and I have been to the Ship Inn quite a few times, because the food is delicious and the service is great. Most recently we went for my sister's birthday. There isn't anything I can think to complain about, because we all had a lovely evening, with sizable portions and friendly staff. The cod and chips is especially... More
