Went for a meal with the family. Pub was family friendly, cider very good, nice range of ales. Pies were amazing and very well priced. Highly recommended

Stayed here as a family and had dinner in the bar/restaurant. Best pies we've had in a very long time. Strongly recommend that they sell them alongside the craft beers. Smaller portions were available for children. Our only gripe? We greedily ordered a cheese plate...More

So glad you liked the pies so much! I very much agree that the cheese shouldn't be cold but at this quieter time of year we can't risk leaving quantities of cheese at room temperature with the possibility that the health & safety police will...More

My husband & I walked upon this pub and remembered seeing the reviews so decided to go in and warm up with a pie. A nice rustic beamed bar lounge and cheerful person behind the bar. We were initially a little disappointed to heart that...More

Look forward to seeing you again. Not sure the moussaka will be available (on of the seasonal specials) but I know there'll be something to delight!

We popped in here for a drink on the last day of our holiday and we were gutted we hadn’t come in here before! Lots of local beer to choose from, friendly and helpful staff, and a nice atmosphere. We are just gutted we didn’t...More

We stumbled across the bar restaurant on a cold winters day. The chap behind the bar warned of a long wait and the place was packed. It was well worth the wait, both the food and service were excellent. All in all a great choice...More

What a fantastic pub. We spent a lot of time in here after getting snowed in a couple of weeks ago. The food was the best. Staff were amazing and we are thinking of staying in the hotel attached as the service was so good.

Description
A casual dining experience in an 18th century inn. Savoury pies, made on the premises from local ingredients, are the speciality with light lunches, salads and snacks also available. A host of real ales, craft beers, traditional ciders and fine wines juggle for position on the bar for diners and drinkers alike.
