After waiting over 20 minutes for our food and drink to arrive, when it did the bread was stale! When I asked the member of staff for a replacement they were extremely off hand and told me "there wasn't anything else available" It's in such...a good spot, so it's such a shame that the quality of food and behaviour of some staff members let it down.More

Although the staff were lovely and coffee good, there was limited availability of food. Pre packed sandwiches and one or two cakes, but it would have been great to have been able to purchase a Welsh cake or a Tregroes waffle, all prepacked and good...with a coffee. A few Welsh offerings are always great for visitors to WalesMore

It's always busy and bustling! Lovely coffee& cake. friendly staff, used by lots of locals on a regular basis. Good if your out with 'the woofers' as you can sit outside under shelter & watch the 'Hay world' go by! I am happy to go...here on my own & read the papers that they provide or just people watch. I have always found the staff more than helpful & as a bonus they offer a discount to 'oxfam Volunteers' so thank you for that!More

We popped in here for a light lunch. We ordered the carrot and coriander soup, which was nice enough and I also ordered a sausage roll: these looked great but it proved tone a bit tasteless. The service at the counter was pretty offhand and...the staff gave the impression of wishing they were somewhere else which, having sat down to eat, we rather did too.More

We visited last week as a pit stop to our walk, and wouldn't return. Before ordering I tried to ask the waitress what dairy-free milk they had available, the waitress rudely interrupted me and said 'order at the till' when I explained I was lactose...intolerant she merely rolled her eyes and said 'the only one we have is soya'. We left without ordering and won't be returning.More

We were touring through Wales and stopped by for a coffee and a stroll in the town, Hay on Wye. As we were walking past I saw it was bustling with people which helped decide that it was going to be our coffee stop. My...husband and I shared a vegetarian sandwich and a slice of lemon drizzle cake and coffee/ cappuccino cake with an americano & cappuccino coffees. Everything we ordered was great and we loved the ambiance as everyone knew each other and even chatted with us.....very warm and friendly people and town. Great place to hang out, unfortunately we didn't have much time as we wanted to visit another town after this....More

HThis is a beautiful town with numerous eateries, but we were glad we happened upon this place for drinks and a snack. We sat outside under the canopy to enjoy the views up the street and across to the market. Great service and lovely hot...chocolates and sausage rolls too.More

The serving staff are friendly and the coffee is good. Maybe it was an off day but we both had the Victoria Sponge and it was dry and heavy. Shame.

Having been to Hay-On-Wye several times, we had always found that Eve's was full whenever we went past. We managed to squeeze in for a late afternoon pit-stop this time, and found it to be just fine. Staff were friendly, and our coffees were delivered...to the table (inside) promptly. The cake selection was rather limited, which I attributed to our arriving late in the day, but the cappucino cake was delicious.More
