We came in here whilst out walking around Buxton area. Walking into this pub is like stepping into another time, the decor is amazing and despite being decorated for Christmas it was done in a classy way to reflect the feel of this pub, superb...More

We really enjoyed our meals. My wife had the Steak and I had the Mixed Grill. Both were delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our visit and I will be recommending the Knights Table very highly to my friends and family. Thanks

As a person who has never previously reviewed a pub, I loved this place so much, I felt the need to tell everyone how fantastic our visit was today. We visited as a party of 8, with the two small children. The staff were wonderful,...More

I have asked you about your visit to establish when and what you ate to address the issue. You cannot say what you ate and only that your visit was about 12 months ago. I would have to doubt the validity of this review based...More

I just wanted to say that I had the exact same experience when I walked towards the pub with a friend. We didn't have any bicycles. We were on foot walking up the public path next to the A53 when we were told we were not allowed to come closer, no questions asking us how our day had been, did we fancy coming in for a drink or some dinner etc, you know normal inviting PR type activity. We then noticed there was a chain in place across the path that is a blatant health and safety hazard and a serious injury waiting to happen. We were told to walk on the A53 on a blind corner in the dark! Strangely enough we didn't go in for a drink as we felt unwelcome. Even if people are planning to pass on by you are missing the opportunity of letting potential customers walk past your windows and see inside, hopefully see a well decorated and hopefully (if you haven't told everyone to bugger off and die on the A53) a lively welcoming place they want to visit in future. You miss letting them see your opening times in the door/window and any notices of forthcoming offers or events. Such advertising is completely lost if people can't get near to see it.

Thank you for the comments. We do not wish to offend anyone who would like to visit the pub. The front of the pub is for pub use only and is not public access to either the shop or the road to Longhorn. It is not marked on... More
