We have visited The Old Auctioneer a few times now usually on a Wednesday when it's the 2 for 1 steak night. Never had a bad steak and the sauce is delicious... Always great staff and it's a nice environment and decor... highly recommend.

Delicious meal at average price. Great welcome, service a bit hit and miss, but it was full to capacity. Interesting decor.

Called in on the off chance and really pleased we did after ordering a guest ale which I must say was lovely. We were then seated and order's taken which I must recommend the buffalo wings 😁 either as a starter or a main. I followed them with the Ribs. A place everyone should try at least once

We visited as a family, the surroundings are a little different and quirky but warm and inviting. Once we ordered the food came quite quickly and was excellent quality and value but it was very busy even at lunch time mid week and we had quite a wait between visits to the table by staff. Maybe they weren't expecting to... More

Had the T Bone steak, for an expensive cut of meat I was expecting big things. Looking at the burgers, wings and pizzas coming out I thought I was in for a good time. The burgers looked meaty and well portioned, the chicken wings plentiful and drowning in sauce. The pizzas big and generous with their toppings. The T Bone,... More

A party of 15 visited the Old Auctioneer for our Xmas do. The service and food was excellent quality considering that it was December the 14th and the place was rammed.

Eating at the Old Auctioneer with a group of 15 people, we found the whole experience truly delightful. Upon entering, what was obviously an extremely old building; you’re greeted with a truly warm, inviting and friendly atmosphere. The décor is low key, with all mod cons. Including an impressive “back yard” equipped with a wood burner, just perfect for a... More
