We ducked as we entered this olde English pub in Banbury. It's one of those great character Inns you find in England with friendly informal staff, good food and good beer. I had the fillet steak with double-fried chips and a glass of Pinot Grigio. My friend had the pork and a pint of the landlord's best ale. Quite pricey... More

We found the prices very high and the portions very small. To add to our disappointment we were not helped by the staff. We are both disabled and the waitress refused to bring any drinks to our table because we had already paid for our meal. Luckily a sympathetic onlooker came to our aid and went to the bar for... A party of eight of us dined at the Three Pigeons and every one commented on how good the meal was. Bit pricey, but excellent food and venue for that 'special occasion' when you want something top quality.

Great food, staff and atmosphere! But only once you've found it. This pub is in short walking distance of the main Banbury square - less than 5 mins. But, the food is good (AA award winning), friendly staff and a great feeling of being there for centuries. Also has car parking.

The old world charm of this establishment is only surpassed by the service of the staff. Supplying excellent and well presented food. The improvements in the premises in recent years has made this a jewel in Banbury restaurant's.

Like others who have reviewed, very disappointing service. Why are the management not addressing this? Came for Sunday lunch on our first visit. Arrived at the bar which was swarming with staff but no one paid any attention to us. After a short wait we got someone's attention by interrupting the staff. Taken to our 'table' which consisted of two... More

I really can't fault it. The atmosphere, the decor, the people, the service! Very clean! The food is just divine. The fillet steak was to die for. The wine also. Family friendly and just so cosy. It feels right the moment you walk in. We went in for a Sunday dinner with family and friends and it was a very... More

The pub has a great community feel with locals sitting around the bar but the resturant area was empty at 8.45pm on a Saturday evening. Initially the staff seemed unsure if the kitchen was still open. We opted for gammon steak, chips and salad which was fresh and hot in the right places. Perhaps less items on the menu would... More

Settled in the heart of Banbury The Three Pigeons Inn has been at the very heart of the community since it first opened its doors back in the 17th Century. It has created so many memories for customers of all ages and taken its rightful place in the hearts and minds of the many residents both in the town and in the surrounding areas. The Three Pigeons Inn has being lovingly restored to its former glory and has now achieved it's first AA Rosette. It is now a free house with guest accommodation, with our main focus being our fabulous food. We offer modern English cuisine prepared freshly using locally sourced produce by our award winning Head Chef. Throughout its vast restoration project, and since opening, the motto at The Three Pigeons Inn has always been to do everything to the best of our ability, the end result speaks for itself. We have now passed that motto on to our team, whether it's a morning cappuccino next to one of our coal burners, or a three course meal in our Winter Garden, The Three Pigeons Inn will always deliver 10 out of 10. The Three Pigeons Inn is opening its wings to invite you into areas of the building previously hidden from sight. They are now being used to create a space for you to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. What you will find in place of the old neglected lounge is a transformation to the extraordinary. The bar will be a central feature so that our friendly staff are never too far away. Three guest bedrooms have been added along with a new Kitchen and Beer cellar. The gardens have been landscaped and a function room has been built.
