We stopped using The Gun a few years ago when a previous owner totally messed up the pub. So glad we went back. The service is friendly and efficient and the food (this was a Tuesday French Night) was very good. The icing on the cake was the bill, leaving aside an expensive bottle of wine we decided to try,... We had club sandwiches here. Firstly, these were £9.95, so we were expecting something spectacular. The chicken was slimy and the bacon was sparse. The sandwich was bulked out with excessive salad, (there was also an uninspiring side salad). Decent portion of fries. But overall this was way below the standard that I am used to from other similar establishments.... More

35 raucous ladies at a Retirement Do handled effortlessly by the fabulous staff at this delightful pub. The right amount of time pre dinner for catching up and reminiscing and then our food served promptly and exactly as ordered. The staff were an absolute delight without exception, friendly, well informed and coped well with the noisy chaos we created. The... More

Booked a table for four people and four dogs for lunch after a walk round Cissbury Ring. There was some confusion as they thought over the phone I had only said one dog, but they sorted it straight away and gave us a bigger table with more room. Staff very attentive, food excellent and reasonably priced. Would return.

This is the first occasion that my wife and I have visited this venue. We were with my cousin and husband who understandably have been before. We had a Sunday lunch here and were pleasantly surprised both with the location, ambience and the food that was presented. This very old pub, (circa 1619), has much atmosphere and extensive but quite... More

Such a pretty village Findon.. amd unlike some villages, this venue is not over proved or snobby either. My friend and I had the best fish finger sandwich and what a lovely place, inside and out. Coming again! 😃😃😃

Stayed two night in Findon and ate here on the second. The ale was good, the menu had a great range of food with several fish dishes, the fire was cosy and the atmosphere overall was very welcoming.

Im very sorry to say that the meal I had at the French nite was very disappointing, I live in the village and been there many times before and never a complaint. I went with a party of 14 and I think we all agreed it wasn't the best meal. I chose coq au vin,a chicken casserole cooked in a... More

Having lived in Worthing for almost five years I was none the wiser . I had no idea this little gem of a pub restaurant was hidden in findon since now . Attended a family members 90th dinner table of about 10 ..in separate dining room that was nice and private, aside from the pictures on the wall I found... More

Took my ancient and not very mobile parents there. When booking had requested table near fire with easy access and that was exactly what we got. Very thoughtful service. Good choice of food with some excellent specials(sea bream a particular hit). Dad had starter and this seemed to cause a rather prolonged delay for mains, so I think things may... More
