We have used the carvery in Highdown Hotel in the past and are always looking out for a place to take the members pf our village club for the elderly so we visited the tea room and we were very impressed indeed. Such friendly staff with time for each customer served excellent food and plenty of it. The vegetable casserole... More

My wife and I visited these Tea Rooms for a light lunch two days ago - home-made Fish Pie on the menu was a real treat. Unfortunately my wife was deprived of her treat, Cottage Pie had just sold out, but the alternative (generous) helping of Cheese and Onion Quiche compensated adequately. The lesson here is that fresh food had... More

Such a lovely little place to stop for some tea after a walk round the gardens. Really quaint and just so nice. Food is good, drinks are good, nothing fancy but it's exactly what you'd expect from an old style tea rooms.

My family and I love Highdown Tea Rooms, having visited many times over the years. The food is lovely, the atmosphere is happy and friendly and our 4 legged friends receive such a warm welcome. It is also good for disabled people as the staff will happily and without any delay or fuss get out a ramp for a wheelchair.... More
