Our first visit to the Cowshed was for an 80th birthday in late September. We enjoyed it so much and were so impressed with the food and service we decided to book for Sunday Lunch. We have a disabled Mum in a wheelchair and we try and take her somewhere different on a Sunday and she was absolutely delighted. Access... More

I have visited The Cowshed 3 times over the past few months with my husband. Each time I have tried something different from the menu and everything has been fantastic. The chicken in wild mushroom sauce I had today was my favourite so far. Also, all of the desserts are amazing. I love the relaxed atmosphere and decor. All of... More

We booked a late meal and on arrival were shown to our table next to a very loud table of 16. We asked to be moved and no problem at all moved us to a quite area. The manager is a great host explaining any delays and when our food would arrive. Food.....amazing! Only one criticism ...the waiting staff don't... More

This place is great ! It is hidden away in the countryside, the decor inside the restaurant is great with extremely friendly staff, great food and plenty to choose from at great prices ( £22.95 for 3 courses). The parsnip soup with parsnip crisps, garlic prawns and crepes with apricots are to die for ! They can cater for all... More

Went with some friends, and had a lovely relaxing meal. The service was good, but perhaps a little slow and lacking at times. The food however was excellent, and for the quality, I consider to be really good value. I'll certainly be back when visiting friends in the area.

Our group enjoyed lunch here - my salmon was excellent, along with the crepes for dessert and the very modest bill at the end, welcome. Someone said in an earlier review that portion size was small - I can't imagine what they're used to(!), we found there was ample food on our plates. Service was rather slow and confused at... More

Our first visit to the Cowshed. The service was quite slow. We waited for over 30 minutes before our order for starters which is a little too long on my opinion. However once we'd placed our orders the food did not take too long to arrive and was very good. Presentation is excellent. Very courteous and polite staff. Will definitely... More

We booked a last minute table at this rural restaurant. A lovely selection of meals that we all enjoyed with a good wine list too. Lovely service.

Delightful little place in the South Staffordshire countryside. Service was very friendly and prompt. The food on offer gives great value, especially the lunch prix fixe menu with two courses for £11.99 Would definitely recommend the steak and the lemon posset dessert.

Description
Set in the South Staffordshire countryside on a working farm just one mile from the village of Pattingham, The Cowshed has been converted into a fantastic contemporary restaurant. Originally the Clive Farm Dairy, the dining room now boasts a stunning interior featuring rustic oak beams and a mezzanine balcony area. The Cowshed's classic modern British menu, under instruction from Head Chef Joe Whitehouse, features favourites such as the pan-seared scallops with pancetta and sherry jus served with ciabatta toast; pan-roasted duck breast served with a zesty potato cake finished with a kumquat and grenadine jus; and the restaurant's signature Cowshed game pie stuffed with quail eggs and served with a sharp home made chutney.
