We arrived, all slightly nervous, what with Covid, and the outdoor scenario. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. It was so nice to hear voices, and laughter again. The Sunday Roasts were cooked beautifully, the...yorky puds home made, and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Can't recommend this place enough. Super friendly staff, all following covid guidelines, made a nervous lunch an absolute joy. We can't wait to come back, and hopefully sample the inside of this delightful pub. Keep up the good work everyone.More

Had Sunday lunch here with family. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of this place we couldn't get a table until 4pm. When we arrived at 3.45pm the place was almost empty so that was frustrating as we could certainly have come earlier. As usual, I have...eaten here before, the food turned up looking superb. However, although still nice it was not at its best. The roast potatoes had clearly been sat on a tray for sometime as they were solid at the base and although the whole meal was still very tasty, everything was cold. Usually the HSH is the best place anywhere in the area for Sunday roast but this was not the case for this visit. At £96 for 4 people the quality expected was not here. I certainly won't book a late slot again!More

This restaurant sells the best beef I’ve ever had with the best mash I have ever had! I can’t get over how good the food is you just have to go try it! It was heaven in my tongue! I definitely recommend the beef cheek!...And the chocolate fondant The staff are very welcoming and friendly always coming to check if everything is okay and to offer more drinks, beautiful location so cosy inside and they offer outdoor seating too in a cute garden area! I loved how the give the nhs discount too! We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!More

This lovely pub has had a sympathetic revamp over lockdown. We had a couple of starters as we were walking. The food is still of exceptional quality and the crispy goats cheese did not disappoint , my friend had a starter portion of risotto which...was ample delicious and well seasoned. A good selection of wine. Dogs also welcome biscuits and dog bowls available. Very friendly and prompt service. Nice to also have a pub that continues to follow covid rules with face masks required when moving about .More

Quite a pleasant experience. Staff polite and friendly. Food nice. Service a bit slow, I don’t know if that is normal? We didn’t mind though.

3rd time since pubs re-opened and they seem to be flourishing--it was alovely sunny evening so we sat in the marquee which was very pleasurable--everyone loved the food--I had two starters (instead of a main course) as they all look very tasty. Service very friendly...and helpful(we asked for a high chair).More

From what I remember the HSH is not big on vegetarian options and I recall the Sunday lunch menu only having one vegetarian main option. But you can find all their menus on their website
