Stopped for a light lunch whilst visiting Tavistock. Lovey Panini's and the kids meal was a decent size. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Waitress was in a terrible hurry. Asked what we wanted before my wife had even sat down. Then brought the bill without us even asking for it!

Flawless service and lovely cakes - would recommend the carrot cake. A real asset to the town as it's so inviting.

I popped down to Tavistock last Saturday for a little mooch about. A lovely little town with some great shops. Lunch time loomed and the Hunt began for some hearty food and a decent coffee. I stumbled by chance across the EGC&B. It was very busy, always a good sign. As I walked in a charming you lady greeted me... More

On my ongoing hunt for good cooked breakfasts, we thought we would try this cafe. The staff were friendly and attentive, but breakfast was ordinary, sausages were good, bacon a bit tastless. also the selection was a bit odd for a standard breakfast. no beans, no hash browns (orderable at extra cost!!) The price was at the high end for... More

Visited for a late lunch. Nice egg mayo sandwich served with small salad and crisps. Partner ordered jacket potato with cheese. Only negative was the lack of crunch on the potato skin. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will return.

Whenever we visit Tavistok - which has been numerous times over the past 15 years, as we have family in nearby Brentor - we always make sure we call in to this fabulous little cafe, tucked away in Market Road. We stumbled upon it by chance, many years ago and now it is family tradition to call in for a... More

Called in for lunch. I had quiche and my husband had beef with Yorkshire pudding. It was lovely and tasty and filling. No dessert needed. Clean cafe. Would visit again when down on holiday again

First visit, good menu from snacks and light bites to cooked lunches - stews, roasts, fish etc. Something to suit everyone. My husband and I had a toasted teacake and chocolate cake. We will be returning, as the dishes being served looked very tempting. A good find, looking forward to a return visit. A Warm welcome and thanks for our... More
