We popped in here for a coffee and scone following the good reviews. We spotted somebody having the full breakfast and quickly changed our minds. The Big Breakfast was enormous, very tasty and great value. The staff were all very pleasant and the cafe had...a relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for a great breakfast, here is the place to come.More

We were travelling from The Lake District to Scotland and broke our journey at Lockerbie, to eat a late lunch. We called in to Cafe 91 and we were so glad we did. The food was good, with a home made flavour and portions were...big ! We had the Leek and Tattie soup which was a meal n itself, delicious. The steak pie too was home made with melt in the mouth steal in a rich gravy. The macaroni cheese was very good and certainly tasted like home made, the cheese sauce was so velvety. It was a lucky stop for us, and next time we are in the area we will certainly make a point of going back.More

Visited here for lunch during a weekday day-trip. Got a table quite easily, although it was busy with people coming and going all the time. Quite an extensive menu, good quality food, generous servings, very well priced. Good, friendly service too. Options included breakfast items,...toasties, paninis, burgers, cold or hot sandwiches, and more substantial main meals. We had a steak pie with chips (all good meat), and battered chicken strips in a very tasty sweet n sour sauce with chips (could not eat it all!). Would definitely return.More

Dropped in today planning only for a milkshake but once there flicked through the menu. The Delux Highlander caught my eye with the wife deciding to go for a Ploughman’s. When it was brought to the table we couldn’t believe the size of the serving,...it was huge! The Highlander consisted of a burger, sausage, haggis and cheese all on a roll served with chips and side. The large Ploughman’s was another delight. The milkshakes were a Snickers one for myself and a Malteaser one for my wife and both were excellent. Staff were helpful throughout and even though it was near to closing at no time did we feel rushed to eat up and leave. We’ll definitely be back.More

Stopped here for a well-earned cup of tea, and wasn’t disappointed. A well-run cafe with a Scottish sparkle.

This is mine and my wife's go to place when travelling from Leicester up to Scotland. The reasons for that is that it's not too far from the motorway, it's immaculately kept, the staff are always helpful and friendly, it has a great menu at...reasonable prices, the service is good, the food tasty and it has such a homely atmosphere, so what's not to like? Needless to say we were not disappointed on our latest visit and it made a lovely break in our journey before the final leg. Highly recommended to all weary travellers.More
