Three of us met for lunch and were made to feel so welcome straight away. Even though there were screens to keep us safe they were placed so well that it didn't take anything away from the relaxing friendly atmosphere. Two delicious fish and chips...and one roast turkey dinner later we were well ensconced so gave in to the temptation of christmas pudding with wonderful custard and ice cream. We played it safe with our choices but there was a wide choice of more adventurous plates - their take on rice pudding sounded amazing. Do go and support restaurants and pubs like this one, they need you. It is probably more safe to meet in that environment than any domestic gathering.More

We detoured off the M90 for lunch and were very impressed with the service and food. Can't wait to return, next time we're in the area.

We were delighted when we were given a voucher at Christmas 2019 to spend at Balgedie Toll Tavern as we had spoken about giving it a try for lunch. We enjoy having a walk at Loch Leven and had thought a visit to Balgedie Toll...Tavern after our walk would make a super day out and fully intended to do just that in 2020. Like everyone else 2020 did not quite work out as planned as Covid took hold, what with lockdowns and shielding restaurant visits were put on hold. With the arrival of 2021 and restrictions easing thanks to the vaccine programme life began to return but not quite the confidence. I contacted Neil at Balgedie Toll to ask if the voucher (issued in 2019) would still be valid and to my pleasant surprise he told me it would still be honoured. Having been encouraged by Neil's assurances that all safety precautions were in place, today on a beautiful Autumn day, we headed out for lunch and it was well worth the wait. This is a traditional roadside pub. We received a lovely welcome. Covid precautions in place with hand sanitisers in obvious places and great attention paid to cleaning of tables and other touch points. A super menu with many dishes available as smaller portions for those with smaller appetites. The food was tasty and well presented. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food we certainly hope to return many times in the future.More

A comfortable traditional-style pub with a real fire. Friendly and quick service, good menu including the option of small portions (I love this!) Good range of specials and interesting desserts.

We always have a meal here when holidaying in the area. The Scottish hospitality and food is first class. Great options including vegan, in a wonderful atmospheric Inn. Support local businesses.

Thank you for a wonderful lunch. We stopped in to see if we could by chance get a table and we were lucky that there was space, but also thank you for moving some tables and chairs around to make it happen. Thank you for...that. The menu is fab. It accommodates all types of dietary needs. As a GF person, it was so nice to not feel like I was an extra burden and amazing to see all of the options on the menu. We will def be back, and we will remember to book a table because the food and service is so good that I think we just got lucky today.More

Balgeddie Toll Tavern is definitely our go to when out for tea. Foods always beautifully presented with generous portions and reasonably priced. Also they have a specials board with different starters, mains & desserts each week aswell as their menu which they change some items...regularly. It’s hard to choose a favourite dish as everything I have tried has been tasty. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Overall definitely worth a visit. I have attached pics of what I had last night. Starter was smoked salmon pate with melba toast and main was their small portion of Scotch lamb curry… Would definitely have both again.More
