Ate at Muckrach on a week night with my partner and what a treat. We sat in the bar whilst having a drink and had a look at the menu. The service was great and very friendly. We were seated in the restaurant which was quiet when we arrived then got very busy however the atmosphere was great. We had... More

Great cakes and coffee in a beautiful lounge overlooking lovely gardens - a nice experience. Been several times and now one of our favourite spots. Service polite and fast too.

Had an awful meal here on Saturday night. Being locals, we've visited Muckrach for an evening meal on at least 6 occasions since the reopening in April last year, the food has always been delicious and we've often recommended it to our work mates, neighbours and visiting family and tourists. Unfortunately now the topic of discussion will be the extortionate... More

I am hugely fussy about my restaurant roasts as I subscribe to the school of thought that why pay for something you can do better yourself. However, I'm not too proud to say that this lamb roast by far surpassed my own. Packed full of flavour with a 'jus' that you could imagine evoking all sorts of high praise on... More

Stone built Victorian house charmingly modernised. Drinks in a bar, comfortable chairs, and a peaceful atmosphere. Slightly left in a time gone by. The dining room was in a large light garden room. A good varied menu. Exquisite food, vey well presented. Slightly too long a wait for both courses. Definitely a place we would enjoy to return to.

Decided to have a look at the menu for a meal later in our holiday. Could not find any prices on the menu which possibly mean't not cheap. However we decided to have tea and cake. Must admit the surroundings are grand with deep easy chairs. We ordered tea and Victoria sponge but the tea was delivered quite fast but... More

I took my husband to Muckrach for his birthday dinner. It was supposed to be a special treat, a night out baby free. The waitress at the bar was friendly and we were looking forward to a nice evening. The food was very tasty, however we got well cooked steaks, despite ordering medium/rare (we were waiting ages for the food... More

Four of us visited for supper, all of us had something different, superb food, nicely presented good atmosphere, welcoming staff on arrival, in no doubt about returning, perfect for a special event.

Whilst husband and I have differing views on the decor (I love it and he is not impressed) we have had lunch there which was a disappointment, over priced and the service was dire. However, that was some time ago now and hopefully things have changed. Recently we were lucky enough to have afternoon tea there twice in a fortnight.... More
