At The Rose & Crown we are proud to serve fantastic food and drink; classic pub food all freshly prepared. We also offer a Children's Menu, a Non-Gluten Containing Ingredients (NGCI) Menu and a Vegetarian/Vegan Menu. On Sundays, you can enjoy a Sunday Lunch. Fabulous refurbished outdoor area with covered seating and heated pods.
Met with a friend for lunch on a Saturday. Pub has a cosy feel, nice and clean, a friendly warm welcome from staff and they were very attentive and helpful without being intrusive.
Varied menu and tasty food - we will be back!

Many thanks for this excellent review and feedback, we do hope to welcome you again soon :o)
We were a bit disappointed to find that dogs weren't allowed in the pub only in the heated garden and pods. We received a very warm welcome from the team, however, we did wait quite a while for anything we had ordered whether it be...food, the bill or drinks. That being said this is a lovely place for a long wholesome pub grub lunch and if you are happy in the cute heated pods feel free to take your fury friends.More

Many thanks for this review and feedback. We're glad to hear how much you enjoyed dining in one of our cosy pods with you dog. Apologies if service was not up to speed on this occasion, but we do hope to welcome you again soon.
We met for dinner at this pub and as always had an excellent meal and time together. The menu has a great choice of tasty, attractive and well priced food at a location that is easy to get to. I started with the potato skins...followed by the chicken, ham and leek pie (out of the six of us, four opted for that!) and finished with the sticky toffee pud. An excellent meal! Will return soon!More

That's great to hear! Thank you so much for this lovely review and feedback - we look forward to welcoming you again soon :-)
We booked a lunch with friends and booked one of the "Pods" it was perfect as we were meeting up after several years, so the chance to talk to each other with no distractions was great. The food was superb, plus the staff and service...were impeccable. So a big thank you for a lovely lunch experience, we will defiantly be back.More

That's great to hear, Nick! Thanks so much for this excellent review and feedback :o)
Restaurant looks very appealing from the outside. Inside not so much. The food was cold, bland and the gammon. Well I wished I’d taken a picture. A burnt old end piece of gammon that I wouldn’t of given to a dog. After staff noticed we...hadn’t eaten the food they sincerely apologies and we paid 50% of the bill. They genuinely seemed embarrassed and really tried to rectify the issue so thank you for that. Unfortunately we will not return for food however will visit in the summer for a drinks outside.More

We're really sorry to hear about this very disappointing meal with us. Glad to hear that we managed to rectify matters at the time, but such a meal should obviously never have left the kitchen in the first place. I can assure you that this...More
Although we turned up without a reservation we were quickly accommodated in one of the pub’s heated outdoor pods which, on a foul weather day, was a treat in itself!
The service from waitress Anna was absolutely superb with drinks and food arriving smartly with...a smile and genuine enthusiasm to engage with my old Dad’s love of chatting.
The racks of ribs were as good as they always are and we’ll be back very soon for more of the same!!More

Thanks Andy! Really good to hear how much you and your Dad enjoyed dining with us and we look forward to welcoming you again soon :o)
Lovely staff (Hannah, Niamh and Mitch) good recommendations and attentive. Ordered some small plates to share, cheese balls were okay but somewhat bland, sweet potato fries over cooked and stodgy. Garlic bread as expected. Food very overpriced. All in all okay, good for drinks but...wouldn’t recommend food. The staff really made our trip - would come back the service and to try mains.More
