I had the great pleasure to take my fiancé and young daughter here for a late Sunday lunch last week. The atmosphere on arrival was lovely and bubbly. Lots of smiles, laughter abs satisfied people lounging around their tables content with full bellies. We started...off with a Camembert flatbread with truffle and garlic. Oozing goodness all over the plate. Hard not to dive in face first and scramble the whole thing down at once. This was followed up by the lamb Henry. A huge shoulder joint, the best, crispiest roasties you’ve had and a lovely selection of vegetables. The shoulder never ended and was enough meat to satisfy the fattest of chaps (that’s me). A couple of bottles of wine and a large brandy rounded the afternoon off perfectly. The team of ladies that serve you are lovely. So friendly to you and your children. Everyone was chatting and laughing with them and it led to the place having a fantastic ambiance. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back in a second. I’d almost go as far to say in 39 years that was the best roast dinner I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy so much more of their desserts, roasts, wines and brandy. Thank you ladies. We had the most wonderful meal to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Each course was lovely but in particular the camembert which was presented so uniquely and cocktails to die for!

We chose to eat here while visiting our daughter at Royal Holloway on the recommendation of my niece who knows one of the owners. As we don't eat meat we were a bit worried about a Sunday Roast menu but Chloe arranged for one of...the staff to send us the menu and seeing salmon was available we decided to give it a go. So glad we did. First off the whole place just feels like a friendly, family-run pub with great staff. Someone commented on the decor, I thought it was great, so far removed from the sterile, uniform decor of some pubs. It was the most dog-friendly pub I have ever been in. We sat outside under the awning and as well as water bowls for dogs, there was a treat bucket and even fluffy blankets for the animals to lie on! The salmon was served with Yorkshire, glazed carrots and parsnips, wonderfully crispy roasties, broccoli, cabbage and a vegan gravy. We were absolutely stuffed. Felt like a home made roast. Our daughter didn't fancy the roast so she had two starters, the hummus and prawn cocktail which she said were very good. Would go back without any hesitation.More

We stopped here on our way to the Runnymede Air Forces Memorial. The food was slow to come, but explained by the fact that they make everything from scratch - I ckudi g their own flatbreads. All three of us had flat breads, two teriyaki...land and one fish! They were EXCEPTIONAL!! If I’m in the area again, I’d absolutely go again. The staff were lovely and helpful. Overall a great place!More

Friendly staff but there were issues with each of our 5 roast dinners. The tiny portions of roast chicken were so overcooked that I can’t believe they were cooked by a professional chef, the Yorkshire puddings were more like lumps of sawdust and the sharing...tray of under cooked veg was just about enough for 3 people and certainly nowhere near enough for 5. From our dining experience we can only assume there were staff issues in the kitchen on the day we visited and if that was the case then we should have been told before we ordered our food.More

We came here for lunch on Sunday, a party of six, and as two of us had been before, we knew we would be in for a treat. We were not disappointed. The meals were excellent, well up to the usual standard. Some of us...had the lamb, and some of us the pork. All the meat was tender, full of taste and well cooked. The helpings of vegetables were exceedingly generous, and none of us left the pub feeling hungry. Sunday lunch at the Beehive is popular, so do ring up first to book, to avoid disappointment.More
