This is my local which I use for the occasional lunch with my Wife and with Friends who visit and always use it for Football/Rugby. It's a popular Pub and can get busy especially during the School breaks - there are a couple of caravan parks nearby. It can get a bit noisy but the food is very reasonably priced... More

We visited here for dinner it was Friday evening and very busy we didn't book but were welcomed. There is a very varied menu so lots to choose from, even though it was very busy our food arrived quickly and hot we really enjoyed our meal. I would really recommend this pub.

My other half went here the other with close family. Their food was ok,but her cottage pie was badly overcooked & looked like it had been forked over to try and make it look better! To make matters worse the peas & carrots were cold. Had it not been close family she would have complained. To add insult to injury... More

This is one of those chain pubs that sells cheap and cheerful food and is very popular with families. You can book if it's a busy time of day. The place was packed initially, probably cos it was Good Friday but it's also one of the only pubs in the area so not a lot of choice. The staff did... More

We've been here several times and it's greatly improved over the years. Graham the manager runs a tight ship and the food and drink are reasonably priced but you should consider booking a table if you want to eat as it can get very busy.

An excellent pit stop on the way home. Great choice of menu with lots of alternatives from curry to burgers and roast dinner to fish and chips. Expect a bit of a wait for food at busy times but always found it is worth the wait.

This was our first visit to The Sandpiper and we enjoyed it very much. The staff were cheery, the service prompt and attentive and the food/drinks of a very good standard. What was also lovely to see was the mix of guests, ranging from tots to oaps.

A good range of beers with an honest, simple menu that offers nice sharing options and some big portions
