We picked this place after seeing the reviews on here. The food itself was ok but the place was very run down. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. I seen 4 members of staff on our visit but none went out their way to help you. They had the cheek to give me my bill on a silver plate (asking for... More

We visited The Lade Inn twice whilst staying at nearby Forest Holidays. Great hospitality, good hearty food and a good cold Tennents for the end of a long walk. We took our dog Hugo and he enjoyed being fussed over too! Great place will certainly head back next time we're in the neighbourhood.

A great find. It had a very cosy fire, even on a Monday lunchtime. The local ales are a must. We had the haggis, neeps and tatties twice. The whisky sauce was amazing. I would visit here anytime.

Stopped for lunch on road trip. Beautiful scenery, log fire and friendly welcome. Lunch was tasty and excellent value. Real ale available with a real ale shop attached - husband purchased quite a few to take home! We had our 9 month old pup with us and she was made to feel welcome with a hug, a biscuit and a... Exactly as advertised. Great food (enjoyed prawns, haggis Balls, fish & chips and steak pie). Fine ales if a good beer is your thing. Reasonably priced, happy to recommend!

Visited here whilst staying at a nearby holiday park, had a lovely meal, service was great, barman was there when you needed him to be but not to in your face. Food was above average pub grub. Dog friendly which is a bonus on holiday. Overall would defo recommend and if in area again will return

We've passed the Lade ocften in the past & always meant to try it for a meal, but it was always the wrong time of day as we had already eaten or it was too soon for a meal. This time we came up to the Callander area specifically to try a lunch at the Lade Inn. Glad we did.... More

While on holiday in the region we visited The Lade Inn for food while checking out their real ale shop. Our party included 5 adults and 2 children. The menu gave ample choice, we made wide selection between us and no one was disappointed. There was a generous portion, I had haddock and chips which was cooked to perfection. We... More

We went to Lade Inn on a Saturday night knowing there was live music. The duo were excellent and really made our visit enjoyable. The Inn is a lovely homely country pub and staff all very friendly and helpful . Food wise not much to write home about. It is however good pub grub with good size portions.
