Fab pub with good grub and friendly staff. Plenty of choice on the menu and reasonable prices. Book in advance to avoid disappointment

We specifically went for the Yorkie Pud at lunchtime with Clare's Mum following a recommendation and were not disappointed! I,t was huge and filled with a lovely, lovely Lamb Casserole and amazingly we all finished with empty plates!! On the downside we couldnt fit a dessert in as we were all full to the brim :-) The staff are friendly... More

Visited last weekend. Expecting a cracking meal after reading the reviews. The beef was succulent and juicy and the potatoes were wonderfully crisp. Would certainly not hesitate to recommend. The staff were friendly especially the lovely brunette barmaid who I had a lovely chat with about football managers (David moyes!) and dinosaurs. Overall a splendid visit!

Four of us had a late Sunday lunch on mothering Sunday, the veg was plentiful and well cooked, service was friendly and good however, the meat , both pork and beef was not good, it was very thinly sliced and was very dry as a result,

Really... More

Had steak and ale pie , wife had giant Yorkshire pudding n beef. Lovely food, great value for money only thing that could improve is chips, would be more in keeping with quality of food if made there own , thick wedge type as these were frozen. Overall though very tasty and pretty good value for money . Big portions

We arrived in Brandesbarton stopping at the Burton Lodge (Highly recommended) we asked for a recommendation and ended up at the Dacre Arms. We arrived at 17:00 and were directed to a table ( not shown which would have been nice). We ordered our meals and this arrived in a timely manner, the food was fantastic, my wife has a... More

We went on a busy saturday night and just got a table. We both had the rump steak with all the trimmings and a peppercorn sauce. The chips are to die for, proper homemade thick chips and the steak was cooked as ordered which is quite an achievement as i rarely get a medium steak anywhere. We then shared a... More
