We all enjoyed the 3 course Christmas lunch and as such a reasonable price my pensioner parents thought we would pay as this was a price they could afford - but we declined to accept they gift. Will hopefully do the Christmas lunch this year too.

we had an hour to spare before our bus, hotel was very quiet so nipped in for a quick lunch. despite there being no one else there to dine, it took over 30 minutes to provide a steak and onion ciabatta which was cold. tasty but cold. my friends fish obviously got the heat that was lacking from my steak... This restaurant/pub can be found next to the river Dee in the lovely town of Aboyne... The Boat Inn offers great quality food and service... we always stop off here when visiting the Aberdeenshire countryside... the excellent fish and chips, plus other amazing food dishes and real ales, are to be found on their menu... Had a wonderful family meal and enjoyed a walk along the river first. Excellent food and the kids loved the train that runs around the room ceiling. The chilli jam served with my sandwich was superb. Friendly staff offered a pleasant service and we would love to return.

We had dinner at the Boat Inn as part of an overnight stay. Despite being busy with a large party elsewhere in the building, staff were warm, attentive and friendly. The food was really good with no huge delays as happens with some places during the Xmas party season. The menu was also varied and not an enforced "xmas menu... More

My wife and I had dinner here during our annual december getaway to Scotland. Ordering fish in Scotland is normally a risky decision, but the baked cod here was excellent. Fresh and just right cooked. And nicely combined with tasty ingredients. The chef at this restaurant knows his/her business!

Not able to recommend this venue as we've had an excellent meal and then an extremely poor one. Service can be slow.

We ate here for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the evening meals. The grilled chicken with roasted vegetables was very good indeed (and very healthy!) Staff were attentive and helpful and a wide range of beers were on offer. The Boat Inn had a great atmosphere with a wide range of customers.
