The first impressions are that the restaurant is a little dated and a bit kitsch. We went for lunch, which was reasonably priced fish and chips I was a little surprised that they didn't serve mushy peas and only offered garden peas. Disappointingly I was...More

Great location just off the main part of town on the seafront. Service was very good, quality and quantity of food was very good. Prices very reasonable, a window seat is best though.

The cream tea for two at £7 represents excellent value for money. Choice of type of generous size warm scones. Without asking hot water served with the tea. Frendly staff on the self service counter.

Thanks for the review. Our freshly made scones have gone down really well since we started serving them. Look out for the upgrade in 2018 to include Prosecco!

Regarding my review back at end of july and the Managers (lol) response. Firstly i actually have over 70 reviews on Trip Advisor, this one is on my newer account as i couldn't log onto my old one the day i did my review on your restaurant. Secondly, i only speak as i see, and my review was the exact reflection on our visit to your establishment. Your staff didmt have a clue what they were doing, we were sat at a table by a grumpy Girl, then another girl was just stood around twiddling her fingers as if she had all the time in the world. We were sat there for almost 18 minutes before i asked the BORED girl if we were getting served, to which she half heartedly walked over and just said "TES'.. Not im so sorry you've had to wait sir, what can i get for you? Just a YES!!! Then the meal which was not a Proper roast meat it was frozen boil in a bag stuff from iceland store.. Them the laughable ERROR over our bill.. You really need to start accepting that your establishment really ISNT the Ritz as you try to make it out to be and that people REALLY are unhappy with the food, service or both.. If you cant handle critism then perhaps you need another career..maybe a Circus Ringmaster!!!

A small section, completely away from any cooking area, is available which we allow well behaved dogs into. We have plenty of other seating areas if you do not wish to be seated by dogs and their owners.
