This pub is now owned by Joules brewery and we had the steak, mushroom and beer pie with home cooked chips, which were delicious.

A warm welcome and very friendly staff were the first impressions. The Mainwaring Arms is an old pub with a lot of history. Currently run by Joules brewery. They have maintained the tradional feel. Great food, a wonderful selection of wines and beers. The staff are friendly and inviting. If you fancy a trip out to the country and want... More

I would have given this lovely pub a Very Good rating as it is almost Very Good. Very nice friendly staff, good atmosphere for 3pm on a Sunday and an appetising menu. Lots of seating/eating areas. May be difficult for people with mobility problems as you have to go down stairs for the Ladies/Gents. Food was plentiful. The Potato Skin... More

This pub is in a lovely wooded village area and the inside is a series of small rooms which make for a cosy atmosphere, perfect for a wintertime meeting place. However i was disappointed by my food, and there aren't many veggie options. I ordered the Halloumi Sandwich but there wasn't... More

Met up with former work colleagues for a drink and found it to be a lovely venue.A million years ago I had my first date here with my wife so brought back memories. Not a great fan of Joules Ales but have to say theirs was terrific and the food excellent.Nice fire, lovely atmosphere and hope to return.

Reserved for lunch and how lovely to be seated by a roaring fire when it was so cold outside. We had the steak, ale and mushroom pie. The pies had just been cooked and were delicious, with good chunky chips and veg. Substantial portion and perfect comfort food on a winter's day. Always enjoy calling here for a drink, great...
