Had dinner down in ‘The Vaults’ which was nicely decorated and quieter than the busy bistro area upstairs in the bar area. Table beautifully set, clean and comfortable. Staff attentive. Quite disappointed in the food. I had lamb, which was served in a bowl and...More

Been meaning to eat here for a while as I've heard good things about the food. On the night I went it was fairly poor. I chose chowder as a starter and cannot understand how they can charge over £5 for a warmed up, tasteless...More

Really good selection of very tasty and well made meals and specials. Favourites such as slow cooked lamb and posh sharing boards available. Full bar.

Id expect a lot more from such a nice hotel, but the food is distinctly average. The waiters/waitress are nice and friendly, and the bar beers/whisky are great. But the food is a massive let down

Nice atmosphere and service a bit slow but very good. Only one barman on at 5.15 and place was starting to fill up. Special offer starter and main meal for £10. Choice is limited but the spicy prawn starter and the chicken breast was well...More

Quick service. Very helpful staff. A wide variety of dishes to suit everyone with new dishes. I had delicious cauliflower soup with truffle oil. Generous portions at reasonable prices. Excellent value.

I'm not sure I think bar meals are available in the afternoon but best call them directly.
