Best Local Indian

My partner and myself moved to Flintshire last year, we tried a few local Indians (once the pandemic eased off) but the Raj is the best by far. We go once a week now. The young man who serves us (I think he might be called Tiger, from reading the other reviews) is always super friendly and helpful, and if you want your food a bit milder than usual or a bit spicier, he will sort it out for you. The food is always fresh-cooked and really hot (temperature-wise) which I like, I can't stand luke-warm food. We have never had to wait a long time for our food either, but we do tend to go quite early. If you want a curry, go to the Raj, it is much better than the more expensive Indians.

Birthday take away

Phoned at 5.15 on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the set meal for four. Asked to substitute items on the menu and my request was accommodated without question. Food arrived promptly the agreed time and it was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Fabulous service and food. Thanks to Tyger and the team. x

Lived in the area a few years but had never been here until last weekend. Now I'm here every weekend. Their Really friendly, accommodating and the food is amazing. On delivery the food is still piping hot. Best Indian in the area wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic food and brilliant staff

Brilliant experience with Raj Balti House. Accommodated a larger group of us and were really understanding and helpful when we were delayed for our booking. Went out of their way to make sure we could still place orders even though it was late on a Friday. Despite there being a few of us the host was great, with friendly interaction the food was very tasty and the portion sizes were nice and generous. Catered for all of our different dietary requirements too. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Wow - I love coming to the Raj in Flint we often get a delivery from here but it’s lovely to sit in aswell. The restaurant is spotless and the staff are all lovely. we had a delivery tonight and the food was absolutely gorgeous, still hot when arrived and i wanted to eat it all over again even though I had no room as portion size was brilliant. They will help you with anything, make your meal how you want it. My partner always likes it a touch hotter so they do that and I like things cooler. Nothing is too much trouble. This is the best Indian around Flintshire by far. Really worth a try and a visit to the restaurant. We have NEVER been let down, it is always delicious

Having lived in the midlands where curry is king I’ve always found it hard to find a top notch curry house, but then we found Raj. Both eat in and takeaway are phenomenal, staff are brilliant and attentive and the food is amazing. 100% will be regulars once it can open up again but until then we will be enjoying a little bit of curry heaven at home

It was our first meal out as a family since lockdown. I can honestly say the Raj have made an outstanding effort in ensuring the safety of its customers whilst keeping the whole experience pleasant and welcoming. We have visited the Raj many times over the last 20 years, they never fail to put out incredible food! Support local businesses ❤️

Best Indian food in north Wales!

Been eating at the Raj since 1998 and never had a bad meal from here. I’ve tried other Indian restaurants around the uk and none of them has held a candle to the taste and freshness of the Raj dishes. Staff are always friendly and polite no matter how busy the are. Take outs are usually ready in 30mins always red hot and fresh. Nothing puts a smile on my face more then the words. “ fancy a cheeky Raj?” From the wife!

Stunning food

In the area for a short break. Had an excellent meal here yesterday evening. Our waiter was extremely attentive and answered all our questions about various dishes on the menu. The food was stunning. We could not fault anything at all during the evening. Wish we lived closer but if we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Great food and great service

Over the years my family have enjoyed many takeaway meal from Raj, Flint. We decided to change this and visit the restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food, as usual, could not be faulted. There was a friendly relaxed atmosphere within the restaurant and Tiger was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and local area

Best curry house around

Just home from the Raj. I can’t praise it highly enough. The food is exceptional. They will happily cater for variations within the menu ie: we love mushroom puri (prawn puri is on the menu), so they’ll happily make it. Also I’m one of those weird people that can’t eat coriander as it tastes like soap to me, but thats not a problem. The curries are beautifully layered with spice and heat and the portions are generous. The peshwari naan is to die for too. Its a large and varied menu also and they’re more than happy for you to take your own beer/wine. Service is always friendly, cheerful and prompt and the surroundings are pleasant. Its only the possible damage to our waste lines that stop us from going every week or two lol. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. 🥰.

Delightful Indian restaurant

Tonight we went to the raj balti. Couldn’t recommend raj balti enough it’s a lovely place which is very clean and well kept. My partner who loves Indian food says every time we go And have a meal Here he mentions it’s the best Indian food he’s had by far. if he could go every night he would. the lamb is beautifully cooked but so is everything we order! the food is always hot and fresh. staff make you feel so welcome, Always on it when the are plates to be collected your never waiting for the table to be cleared it’s ran very well, I dont have a bad word to say I would Very highly Recommend and will most definitely be in again. Thank you again and see you soon.

Had a very tasty Indian takeaway from here. I’ve been here many times but this was the first time since the lockdown. The atmosphere was strange as the place is usually full of life and laughter however the customer service was still on top form. A very cheery and friendly owner (Tyger) greeted and had engaged in great conversation and was very polite. Me and my partner will definitely return again soon 😀

Mother’s Day meal

We visited on Mother’s Day a table of 5, seated straight away and menus given out, order taken promptly. We had poppadoms which were really fresh and warm, delicious. Starters were tasty and served promptly and again our mains served really promptly, probably one of the nicest curries I have had, chicken was really tender not chewy at all and full of flavour, everyone on the table really enjoyed their meals. Food was really reasonably priced for the quality you get. Will be visiting again
