Called in for a late lunch on a Saturday, found the staff really friendly, and after a heavy night, and a full English for breakfast it was nice to have something wholesome and healthy, their chicken pitta came with a great salad, and my mates curry was tasty (well he did get chips, and the rule is you have to... Great coffee shop with excellent service! Much better than bigger branded places like Costa and Coffee Republic cost an arm and a leg. Food is served in good timing so you've enough time within an hours lunch break and when it comes is always presented nicely, tastes delicious and is good value. The place seems small, however has an upstairs... More

Quaint. Off the beaten track. Clean. Friendly. Did not eat but had drinks. Menu looked fine and portions appeared ok. Prices reasonable.

Lovely shop and gorgeous staff. Atmosphere very relaxed! Had a stellar cup of coffee here and a fantastic soup! Ordered a side portion of chips that turned out to be an absolute monster! Couldn't finish them all. Dot understand how costa is so busy when jabberwocky is the competition! This place wins hands down every time for me. Stunning!

We normally attend folk/blues gigs here that are put on by Jonno Promotions. The upstairs bar is small and intimate, just right for the types of gigs that are put on here. Food is served on these nights usually a meat dish and a vegetarian dish and these are always very tasty and very reasonably priced. I have also eaten... More

Jabberwocky is so cool, the design and interior is modern, spacious and artistic. Food service is slow and have often recieved food under cooked or burnt. It's a cool loaction for events and beers.

Have been a few times for lunch and each time have had the same experience. The food is fresh, different from the normal Douglas fare and very tasty but arrives too late to fully appreciate and enjoy within a standard working lunch hour. I intend to go back and would recommend it on the strength of the menu and the... More

I often eat here if I want a good quality vegetarian meal. The sandwiches are gorgeous, the coffee divine and the breakfasts lovely. I especially like the pancakes with maple syrup. The atmosphere is great and the staff were pleasant and attentive, though some people I recommend it to are put off by the bohemian feel of the place. The... More

A real gem, whether you're just grabbing a coffee or looking for something to eat. The food is excellent, with a decent standard menu and interesting specials. The atmosphere friendly and laid back, particularly so if you pop upstairs and sprawl out on one of the sofas. Chuck in one of the better coffees on the island, and frankly you... More

Went early doors on a Monday morning which could explain it but... Service was terribly slow, and we were the only ones in there. Bacon could have been used to jimmy a door, pancakes as shurikens, broken yolks on the eggs. 4 of us and no one had anything good to say about the food, 1 breakfast went back as... More
