A really fantastic service. It was the owner who served us and he really knew the menu, his crabs were caught fresh and the scones were baked 3 hours before. Prices seemed reasonable and the fact you can have half a cream tea, or a child's portion really helped. We were a group of 4 adukts and 5 children. We... More

We were wandering around Ilfracombe in the rain and decided it would be a good idea to take shelter and get a cream tea somewhere. Now there were a number of places to choose from, all with very similar offerings and prices, but we ducked in here. What a charming and quaint little tearoom this is, run by a lovely... More

Back again for our June holiday. A lovely visit to our favourite tearooms. Tinged with sadness as we had just lost our eldest Greyhound who was a regular visitor with his sister Cully. However Andy supplied her usual treat, and she had plenty of treats from us. As ususal food was sumptuous, and we all left feeling happy and full.

Afternoon tea at St James Tearooms is delightful and set up according to one's dietrey needs. It can be too much but you can take the remainder home.

Sitting outside under a grapevine drinking a good pot of tea and listening to the water fountain made this a unique experience. I returned the next day because my dog was welcomed and the food was good, and the day after that, such a nice welcome.

On our first visit to Ilfracombe we found this quaint tearoom, the owner was most welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, he was most helpful in advising us of local attractions. The food was very good, the tearoom comfortable and clean, thoroughly recommend a visit. On striking up a conversation we found that the owners brother lives in the... More

I came here in August on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside as they were so busy but they were very accomodating, very friendly and had simply the best scones I have ever had.

Definitely worth a stop for a delicious homemade cream tea. Nestled amongst grape vines overhead and gnomes all around you, it's a unique experience. Very quick service and dog friendly 🐶

My husband, toddler and I stopped here for an afternoon tea recently, we sat outside and the friendly gentleman said he would put the cover over the pretty vines as it looked like it might rain- it poured down shortly after so that was lucky. We were with our 1 year old and were impressed that the man gave us... More
